The Magic Mala: A Story That Changes Lives

I started reciting and contemplating the Mala a couple years ago, after having been looking at them and researching their meditative intelligence, online. At the end of two years, I was able to look at my self as the excited and enthusiastic 40-day Mala-blessed beads consort ... But I didn't know what I was missing and seeking in my mantra-meetings with the Divine until I read the Mala lessons that are told in Bob Olson's bedside table-necessary-book, THE MAGIC MALA. I had had the list of mantras, and their meanings, along with learning about the energies of the stones or bones used to string and not them by hand. What I didn't have were lessons in prayer and communication of mind that deepen the energies realized and created when one may find herself connecting with her Mala beads. I have been listening to Bob for years via his online show, Afterlife TV with Bob Olson, and have discovered great lessons and reads from the books of his guests. That being said, I am so glad he let us know what a great story teller he is by writing and publishing this novel of fiction. All those years of talking with people as an investigative reporter have given him the gift of conversation, and I am looking forward to more books from him. (BTW, I also have his book, ANSWERS ABOUT THE AFTERLIFE which is a wonderful book, also.)

I received a gift card for Christmas. My attention was immediately drawn to a Book of true meaning and inspiration. After barely scanning my Kindle I was immediately drawn to - First the. Image of the Magic Mala beads and then the description! After being about 28% into reading this book I quickly picked up the phone and recommended it to a friend. Not much further into the reading, I couldn't help but search for a Mala and as luck would have it I soon purchased my very first Mala. I can not wait for it to arrive in the mail! After reading the book in its entirety I am overwhelmed with faith, hope, and aspiring thoughts and feelings. For so long I thought of myself as a victim stuck in a corner by those who "have it out for me". Those feelings are now evaporated from my limited mindset that I held onto as a crutch for survival mode for so many years! Pro's of the Magic Mala · Brought chills to my body in too many chapters to count (Hair stood up on the back of my neck and even my head!) · Very relatable to events in life · Helps to get a bigger picture of how the universe does not. discriminate! Cons (and I say this jokingly) · Hard to put this book down to do anything! · Makes you realize what a negative manifestation magnet you have been and what it has brought you. · The suspense of the excited arrival of the Malaysian beads!

This book was not what I expected. This book is more on manifestation and limited beliefs. I’ve already been reading a lot about the topic, so I didn’t really get anything from this other than I really truly do want a mala- in fact I manifested one for free (it’s currently being made for me). I got this book because I recently have been wanting a mala. Overall the book is good and a great pick me up for anyone who is going through hard times. Would have loved this 1-2 years ago.

The Magic Mala is one of those books that chose me. As a lifelong spiritual student, teacher and coach, new takes on familiar themes like manifestation, usually don't excite me. I couldn't put this story down! And in the middle, I ordered two more books for friends and told others about it. The Magic Mala is not only engrossing, extremely well written and edited but it also delivers the story of personal creative power in an enjoyable and easy to understand way. As I told another friend about the Mala beads she said, "Oh I used to make those... let me make some for you." Really? Mr. Olson is a gifted storyteller with characters I care about and the ups and downs of Robby Robinson as he learns of his inner power, are totally believable. Bravo ! Well done. And you can bet I'll be buying and recommending this book to many others.

I started listening to Bob Olson's " After Life" pod cast which of course directed me to this book. Where do I start? First my intent was to see what spiritual lesson was within this book, with out intent, I feel you would miss the spiritual lesson coming from the story. So allow me to cut to the chase here...to make a long story short. This book jump started my spiritual journey. I have Mala's but never really knew or understood how to use them. Because of this book I have started to do my Mala beads - all 108- and I am now in search of more books that will give me prayer to use as well as mantras to say. Much to my surprise I absolutely fell in love with this book, and I am now using my Mala beads. If you have not done so before, also down load Bob Olson's Pod cast because you are going to find a genuine person behind the voice. One who is honest and down to earth. I feel I directed to Bob as well as his book by my teachers and guides to get me back on my spiritual path and to believe once again there is a higher power guiding us. I don't know why it took me so long to get around to reading this book. About halfway through I spent 8 bucks on a handful of beads and string and made my own quick cheap mala. I've meditated on and off for years but using the Mala to pace the mantra phrase I used, while inching along from bead to bead added a tactile element to the exercise that turned out to be exactly what my adult ADHD brain needed to focus effortlessly. That alone was worth the price of the book, but there was so much more that I truly benefited from. This was the first time I saw all the major elements of this understanding of reality spelled out so clearly and succinctly. Great book, and mucho kudos to Bob Olson for getting this out and into the world where this wisdom is badly needed.

I have read many books like this one starting with the Law of Attraction, but no one was written this well and explaining how it works so detailed with excellent examples. I wish it was longer so I could live the magic a little longer too.

What a phenomenal read! It awakened some things I’d known but had forgotten in the hustle and bustle of life and living. It has also taught me new things and made me think about And re-evaluate myself and my life in general. I am on my second read now as it’s so good and this time I’m taking notes! Thank you so much Bob Olson, this book has been my companion in lockdown and is helping me through it. Highly recommended especially in the midst of a pandemic! It WILL make you feel better! It’s a book that can change lives and is already doing so with my life

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a simple outlook on meditating. I found the story engaging and in a story line format it will be an easy way to understand metaphysical principals,which the usual self help books cant do,so effectively.This story format is easy to read and can easily open a beginners mind to mindful meditation and make the whole process a lot simpler.Its an excellent tool for everyone who want to be taken on a magical journey through a beautiful story and its characters, that teaches the secrets to personal manifestation and happiness, and in this simple story,lies the powerhouse of uplifting inspiration and authentic ways for you to find your place in the Universe....
