I don't know if the oil paint will dry fast enough to hold together in order to peel it off in whole pieces. But it will clean easier than glass or wood. **Q: I bought one of these and I love it. My only question is about the glass scraper. Wouldn't using that on the palette put nicks in it?** A: I recommend using a putty knife made of plastic or one with a dull metal blade to clean the palette. A sharp razor blade is not needed to remove the paint and could put nicks in the palette if you are not careful. I wish the "glass scraper" razor blades were not suggested for use with this palette. **Q: Can you paint something on this palette, peel it off and then affix it to a current painting and if so, what would be the best way to do so?** A: Yes! I'm giving it four out of five stars because the thick paint did not peel off as easily as I was expecting. It would come off in a bunch of small chunks rather than one or two pieces, and little bits were left on it. It was very easy to get off the thinner spots of paint. I only used my fingernail to scrape the paint off, not a tool, so maybe that's why. After I got the majority of the paint off, I used a paper towel and water to just wipe off the little spots. Overall, I am impressed with it. If funds allow, I plan on getting myself another one and buying one for The Art Sherpa this year (2017). I wish it were white in order to better see the paint colors, however I just set it on my remaining sheet of palette paper and that seems too work. My metal palette knife isn't as smooth on this as it was on palette paper. I'm hoping a plastic one will work better. A paper towel works well as an "eraser". Overall, pretty good. Not as convenient as palette paper, but that was expected. It takes a special tool to peel off the dried paint, it does not simply peel off easily in one piece and who wants to use your nails, it ruins your them! I really don't get this product. I used it with my acrylic paints and tried to peel the paint off with a thin small knife, a paper cutter, nail scissors, and finally my husband who has every tool known to man found something that worked the best. However I use all my paint so there is a very thin piece left and I found it was most beneficial to use a scrub daddy and wash it off with detergent in the sink. The pieces stick all over my basin and is hard to get off. I found this product to be a huge hassle and the cons out way the pros which is that it is environmentally friendly as there is no waste, but not worth it for me, I'll stick with my disposable "Grey Matters." It took forever to arrive but no damage.
