Finally found the last brand of shorts I will ever buy for my husband!!! YEAH!!!!
For years I have been looking (OK...searching) for shorts for my husband that he liked and that were comfortable. I should say that he wears shorts year round snow or not!I waited to do the review on these shorts until he has worn them for a while to see how they last which after several months is...Very Well !!Before these shorts, he either liked them OR they were comfortable but never both. I have finally found the shorts that he says are comfy AND he not only likes them... he LOVES them! Yeah!!These are very well made!Unlike other shorts that have all 4 pieces of material are sewn together in the crotch leaving a "lump of material" right in the center which can be very uncomfortable (especially with jeans...I'm sure everyone knows what I am talking about). Gerry shorts have an extra panel sewn in the middle between the legs having the front 2 pieces sewn to 1 side and the back 2 sewn to the other side which eliminates the "material lump" in the crotch. He loves this by the way! They have plenty of pockets and with the stretch of the material he can put his wallet in his pocket and not make the shorts feel tighter. The sewing is done very well. Sewn with a serger then double line stitch over that which gives the shorts the "look" but also 3 lines of "security" to help keep down the possibility of rip outs or splitting the rear and showing....oh dear..He can move and they don't "roll down" at the waist; they don't "ride up" in the rear (at least I haven't seen him pulling them out). The legs aren't tight which gives air movement which is vital in helping to keep him cooler and keep the sweating to a minimum (also helping to eliminate swamp a**...which on it's own is AWESOME!! ..not what it is but the elimination of it!).I am so happy with these shorts because I now know exactly where to go to buy him more...YEAH!!!!*** also...I was NOT paid for this review by unless you count the fact that I do not have to hunt anymore. The only type of payment is that I no longer have to hunt for shorts for him!!

Great option for transitioning out of your 1990s puffy cargo shorts
These are excellent shorts. As a 50+ guy who used to think I was semi-cool at some point in time, I had to come to the acceptance that my pile of big puffy cargo shorts are pretty much in the same bucket as "dad jeans" these days, so I figured I should try to move on. I had found a similar gray pair of these by chance at Costco and have been liking them, so I wanted to pick up a few other colors and Costco wasn't carrying this style of shorts any more. So, they were a few bucks more here on Amazon, but well worth it. They are a much sleeker profile than typical cargo shorts, more like a fairly in style khaki short cut, but with the zip pockets, so you can still secure a few items. Also love the stretch fabric. Very light and breathable. With 3 pairs now in tan, gray, and "blue dust," there are pretty much all I need for the summer months. One odd note- the gray pair I bought at Costco has a much stretchier waistband (have to wear a belt to keep them up), while the tan and blue ones here on Amazon don't have much (if any) give in the waist itself, which is actually better as long as the waist size is a good fit for you.

practical shorts
I bought a pair of these after wearing a pair my son outgrew before even wearing. As a female, these are too large for me but I knew that ahead of time. I love these because the side pockets zip, I can fit my phone, keys etc in them when I walk or do yard work. The waist line is comfortable so I don't feel as if they are falling down when I wear them. Sure wish women's shorts and pants were designed like this. Wish I could find them in 28" waist to make the fit a little better.I am so glad I decided to try my son's unused pair instead of just giving them away. My husband calls them my "boy shorts" when I put them on. Yep they are and I love them!

Great comfort fit.
I'm in my mid 60's with a relatively large girth and enjoy hiking so finding comfortable non-restrictive shorts can be a challenge. These shorts are comfortable in the waist, crouch and legs. The stretch fabric maintains that comfort fit while seated, squatting or seated. The fabric is not as light as expected yet remains cool, water resistant and quick drying.

Great design, super comfortable and good looking
These shorts are my absolute favorite right now. The fit is virtually perfect: It's slender, form-fitting with tapered-narrow legs. Yet, it's adequately stretchy (more so than most designs) which makes the overall fit quite perfect in my opinion! Moreover, they stretch in the right sort of way when moving about, climbing, or kneeling. Plus, they stretch very nicely when you sit down (I'm taking anatomical comfort)! Furthermore, the material is breathable and non-irritating, despite it being synthetic.I might sum these up with one word: "comfortable". Yet they're also very nice looking (in a neutral sense) and can pair well with many different shirts and shoes ... I think I have seven pairs, so far, in different colors.Great design, Gerry!

These might be perfect!!
These might be perfect! Just bought my second pair... the first pair is a year old and still looks new. You don't run out of pockets, 4 of them zip, the fabric is tough and stain-resistant, but stretchy enough for absolutely any activity, and there are no outboard patch or pouch pockets to snag on stuff. The cut looks good/appropriate on the trail or with a sport shirt at the club. They are breathable and dry very quickly, and when you buy them, be sure to look at the quality of craftsmanship with a magnifying glass. It is stunning. Thanks, Gerry. You guys nailed it.
