Glue the glass before you install
Installed as backup/reverse lights on a Polaris Ranger 1000. Put two on each side of the box just under the tail lights. Because the shape of the rear box on the Ranger the top faces straight out and lower with a slight angle down. Really helps with the backup camera.Bought 3 sets of these (six bulbs total), 1 set for spares. First set I pulled out of the box one lens was already falling out as you see in the picture I took right away. With just a little pressure the 2nd bulb that lens also came out. The other 2 sets were fine. Poor factory run, maybe their glue must not have been fresh. So I mixed up a little clear JB-Weld epoxy and put just a very tiny amount around the lens and glued them back. Just to be safe, I also added a bead around the other 2 sets around the outside rim. Only 4 stars because of the lens issue. I was lucky the lens came off right out of the box. Would have been bad to install them and lose them while on the trail. The wires are thin. I'd say 20 gauge. I opted to cut, strip, tin and solder the entire connection with a 16 gauge feed wire, then seal the end. I don't think I could get a sold crimp on these thin wires to use a quick connect or even a water tight tube crimp connector. I'd also be concerned with a quick connect breaking the wire if I ever had to disconnect.Since these did not come with star lock washers and I did not have any handy that size, I drilled and tapped the plastic and used the provided nut to lock them in place, along with a little Loctite thread lock.I also had 2 LED Pods already installed, but they just not that bright. Adding 4 of these to the box really improved the visibility and I like them more than the Pods. So FIVE STARS for Brightness and being Pulchritudinous.

They have a fish eye type lens which seems to cast a nice fairly wide lighting pattern
These lights have exceeded my expectations. Bought to install on my daughters CRV as added reverse lights knowing they were very small lights but hoping it would add some additional reverse illumination. Her CRV reverse lights are up high on the side pillars and cast very little light down on the ground behind her vehicle. Trying to decide how to mount, I ended up drilling a couple of small holes (like 3/8") low on each side of the black plastic bumper cover, installed these lights, tied into the reverse light circuit and BAM. Can't believe how much additional light these thing put out. They're so small that they blend right in and you hardly even notice them back there on the bumper (until you hit reverse). They have a fish eye type lens which seems to cast a nice fairly wide lighting pattern.Ended up buying a few more sets since they're so economical and added reverse lights to my boat trailer which again made a huge difference backing that thing at night. They claim to be waterproof and so far they had proved to be so on the CRV (installed for a couple months now). Time will tell how they endure the repeated dunking on the boat trailer. The 2 wire leads on the lights are very small/thin gauge standed wire. I found that soldering and using heat shrink on the connections held best verses crimped connections. So far-so good. Would reccomend these to someone looking for very small and bright 12v LEDs.

Backup lights for my truck
I used 2 of these LED lights as additional backup lights for my full size truck. I put a backup camera on my truck and I wanted to make sure there was enough light at night. These LED lights are very bright. In fact they are almost too bright. When I am close to a wall behind me, the lights are so bright they overpower the backup camera. The only other issue is the copper in the wires is very very small, about the thickness of a cloth thread. I ended up soldering heavier leads (18 gauge) onto the lights at my work bench, so I could then use crimp connectors when I installed the lights on my truck. Saved me from having to solder over my head under my truck. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star rating, is because of the very thin wires, and it took over 2 weeks to get them. For some strange reason, they are shipped from China via Chinese "snail mail". I new there would be a long ship time, but I really did not expect them to come all the way from China. I would think it would be cheaper to have a US warehouse to ship out of.

Super bright but does get hot
Overall these are pretty good. They are super bright. They do get hot however. After reading some of the other reviews I wanted to see just how hot they got before installing them into anything. When hooked up directly to a 12v power supply they get pretty warm within 5 minutes and quite hot to the touch after that. Not hot enough to burn my hand but I didn't want to leave it powered up any longer to see how much hotter it would get.I tried powering one of the lights again, this time mounted to a piece of aluminum. I had the light on for a half hour and it did get warm but nowhere near as hot as when it was by itself. So as long as these are mounted to something that will act as a heat sink and dissipate some of the heat they shouldn't be a problem.Another thing I noticed was that the wire used in these is quite thin, not an issue for me but something to be aware of.
