OXOGood Grips Stainless Steel Butter Dish

The butter dish I've always wanted. Our butter dish is used mostly in the kitchen, rather than placed on the table while we're eating – so I'm not concerned about it not having a snap lid while transporting it; the lid does seem stable enough, and it's a thick plastic (this is a case where I much prefer good-quality plastic to glass). The dish is very attractive and has a good heft. Thoughtful reviews, the non-slide feet, stainless-steel bottom and the extensions at the end are what sold me. The generous size and cleanability are pluses. Had I seen a double-size OXO butter dish like this that would hold Kerry Gold butter or the like, I would have bought it also. Just great. The stainless steel is durable and modern along with the cover. Beautiful look with a stainless steel refrigerator. It also has a nice rubber grip on bottom that stays put when on counter. Very happy with this butter dish.

This butter dish is a nice design - clean and simple. The rubber grips on the bottom are really nice and it does not slide at all. The lid is great because the plastic is sturdy and there's no handle making it fit nicely anywhere in the fridge. This stainless steel base is great because the butter does not slide and a knife doesn't make a big 'clank' sound if it hits it like it does with ceramic or porcelain dishes. I purchased this for my son a couple of years ago and just bought this one for myself. Another quality product from the OXO brand!

We recently decided to keep some butter at room temperature for easy spreading. Looked at several brands online and chose this one. Good qualities are that the clear top let's you see how much butter is left; the pads on the bottom are nonslip; it fits standard butter bars and some taller ones; and it is reasonably attractive when brought to the table. The only negative is that the clear cover often gets a little smeary, but it cleans up easily. Very satisfied. And love having soft butter.

I’ve been searching for the best butter dish for a significant amount of time. Finally, likely due to good deeds in a past life, I found this product. This is, by far, the best butter dish in existence. The stainless steel won’t chip like plastic dishes. The raised bumpers on either side hold the butter in place while cutting. The rubber bottom keeps the whole dish in place from sliding. Clear lid for allows for easy viewing to see where you stand vis-á-vis butter reserves (or if you’re just the type of person who enjoys staring down your butter through a protective screen). Easy to clean this product as well. Overall 100/10 (that’s not a typo). Would recommend to a friend (and even an enemy, since nobody should be denied this life-changing butter dish)!

I dropped and broke my glass butter dish and said "I am done with glass." I love the stainless steel bottom and the side guards that eliminate getting butter on the cover when closing it. It's very easy to clean.

The butter dish is great. The little feet underneath help prevent the whole dish from moving. The stopper on either side of the butter prevent the butter from slipping too. Stainless steel quality seems good and it will look good on the table for a nice dinner with guests. Recommend it!

I bought one about 3 years ago and I liked it. I have granite counter tops and it conducts just enough cold to keep the butter fresher than when I used a glass or plastic butter dish. I bought a second one to swap out to keep a new butter on the counter instead in the fridge and hard while it is being washed. It has worked out well. I like that there is a bump the holds the butter in; I had another dish where I would push the butter out of the dish when using. I wish it has the little measures on it like the plastic one, but the plastic one broke on me. I also like that the metal one I have is holding up well, there are few scratches on the lids and it still looks good.

Excellent quality as usual from Oxo. Beautiful contemporary design with stainless steel and acrylic. I like the fact it takes half a stick of butter instead of a full stick. I don't use that much butter so I freeze the rest and it doesn't go mouldy!

Works as described

I shopped around for a study looking butter dish and this one is better than I expected. The base of the dish is stainless steel and the cover a what seems to be resistant plastic. I would buy this product again.
