I was surprised at how easily this connected up to the hinge... and it works really well. I'm only 160 lbs, but it was very sturdy and I could easily set up my cargo carrier on top of my van. I would recommend this product.

This seems quite sturdy and well built, hefty too. Firmly attached to my suv. I’m not a big person so the size of the step was fine tho it might be small for someone of bigger stature. Otherwise happy with the purchase.

very easy to use, folds up small and its easy for storage. The only thing is that it will probably fit one foot on it, not both. Would recommend.

The tool I never knew I needed and now can't live without. So handy for climbing up to put stuff on top of our car. Has kept our seats much cleaner and in better condition. It is very sturdy and can even hold my husband. I never feel scared of it slipping or falling. I love how you can use it at different angles depending on your car or your need. It also folds away nice and small so we just stick in the the side of the door when we're done. Just be careful not to close your door while it's installed.

Works perfectly on our 2022 Toyota 4-Runner. Makes it super easy to reach all over the roof. Very secure. Great product.

I always had trouble washing the top of SUV or loading snowboards on roof box. Even though I have a step ladder, this stepper is worth it for the convenience and extra height compared to other steppers that hooks at the top with stepper on the bottom. Make sure you get the longer version - seems well made. I think most of the mixed reviews come from the shorter version with cheaper nylon construction (I can't say for sure since I didn't buy both to do a comparison).

Buyer beware. The step appears well built but the step itself is plastic and not metal as expected. Could not find any indication in the description that this would be the case. As others have mentioned it is wide enough for one foot, not two. We’ll see if the plastic step meets the 400# rating as I am a big boy (330#) and will be putting it to the test.

I have a big suv to haul the family of five and their gear. When I’m packing a lot of stuff in the roof rack this step is essential to get eyes/hands on the whole situation. Really intuitive to use - never had to look at the instructions. Fits in the door pocket and there when I need it. Cool.
