Absolutely love but I need a second one and it isn't available.

The coasters are a bit lighter than shown in the pictures and a couple coasters have an uneven color to the rest... they definitely looked better in the pictures. Not sure I would have bought them otherwise... but they are coasters, so they do the job.

Made a nice addition to a house warming gift.

I'm a huge fan of owls and was super excited when I saw this set of six coasters made of wood with an owl design. I like using coasters, but I'm often not a fan of the designs used and really wanted something that would look good on my table.This item definitely fits the bill.The description notes that they are hand-carved. That seems believable as they are beautifully done with a staining job that varies from coaster to coaster and has little imperfections (which I prefer).The coasters are definitely not non-slip or non-skid and there's no padding on the bottom, though I've not had any issues with my drinks up to this point. While I thought about using these as a gift, I've decided to keep them for myself because I just really find them attractive and they fit with my decor.As the description notes, they are 3.5" x 3.5", though there is some minor variation between coasters. Generally speaking, if you use glasses larger than 3.5" these coasters will be a touch too small. They've worked well for me.I also really like that the coaster stand/holder is decorated consistently with the coasters. Everything is made of wood, has good strength, and seems quite durable. Quite honestly, if I hadn't expected the non-slip I'd likely have been happy anyway. These coasters seem like coasters you would find in a craft shop or in a gift shop.I'm definitely pleased!

This set of coasters is made from solid wood. The set I received are smooth and finished nicely. The inside of the box was not stained but everything else was front and back.These are definitely handmade, so as such you have differences between the owls slightly in shape and size, they aren't exactly the same. This adds to their attraction in my opinion, but if you are looking for a more manufactured look you won't be happy with these.There was no strange smell on the owls themselves.My only complaint is the packaging. If you want to give these as a gift you are going to need to rebox them. They arrived in a very thin corrugated cardboard box taped with brown tape, which had obviously been wet and stained with something. There was no packaging marks on the box.The owl holder is labeled made in India on the bottom.

These are really cute owl coasters that are kinda woodsy and rustic and each one is a bit different which adds to their charm. They come with a coaster stand which is good because they do tend to slip around and go all over. I am going to put some adhesive anti-slip dots on the back and then they will be perfect. They are well finished so the backing is very smooth and if you put this on another smooth surface they can easily slip around. The dots aren't expensive though, and these are really nice otherwise, that I think they are worth it. After doing that they would make an awesome gift, and you will have to rewrap them anyway because they don't come in a giftable box. Still cute, still have a rustic handmade vibe, and with just a little work are a great set!

There's no way to keep these from slipping around; the back is smoothly varnished. The coasters do look handmade, and the staining is slightly different on each one. They are cute in their holder, and work well under a glass with a small base, but any kind of larger mug runs the risk of being too large for these. Because they are small and lightweight, they also can work as a way to trap heat in your cup (or to keep out bugs) if you need a way to cover your drink. Varnished wood is not ideal for dealing with moisture, though, so it remains to be seen how these deal with steam or condensation. These would make a cute gift for an owl lover.

These are very nice carved coasters with the wooden holder. I have loved owls since I was a kid and we had a white Snowy owl in our barn, so beautiful. If you can get people to use them (LOL) they will protect your furniture and will last forever. The only con would be you need felt tabs on the bottom so they don't scratch your furniture. I can't access the price at the time of this review.

Pretty and everything but not big enough for coffee mug…
