The original is $29.99. **Q: How many watts is this? Does higher watts equal louder volume?** A: The new SoundCore 2 has double the watts (2 x 6w instead of 2 x 3w). But...in order to double the volume you'd need to have 10 times the watts. So you'd need a pair of 30W speakers to double the volume. It was instantly clear to my wife (not an audiophile, nor am I) that the SoundCore 2 sounded better. It's just not "night and day" better, nor is it "double the volume" better. Is it $10 worth better? Yes...not just for the better sound, but it's been refined to be a better over all experience which I talked about in my review. **Q: Can you use a cord to plug in directly to phone** A: Yes, using either a male to male 3.5 mm aux cable OR a usb-c to male 3.5 mm aux cable, whichever your phone supports.
