These things work great. The only downside, is the suction cup. This really isn't a problem with the product itself, but instead how we use them. We stick them to the windshield and leave them, forever. Full sun and heat in the summer, freezing temps in the winter. It takes a toll on the suction cup. After 2-3 years the cup becomes a sticky goo and needs to be replaced. No huge deal. You can replace just the suction cup and arm for about half the price of the whole mount. totally worth it every 2-3 years to have your phone locked securely during that time. (to remove the residue when the suction cup goes south, use a razor blade scraper to get the bulk of it off, then some kind of solvent like acetone to remove the rest - it's easy unless you just like to complain)

I love the iOttie cell phone holders and have used them for over a decade. The only complaint I have had (since the design update) is that after a few years the suction cup will discolor and kind of melt on the windshield before falling off. This replacement part is great as now I don't have to replace the entire unit.

Great Product

Good replacement part. However, the base doesn't stick on the dashboard very well. You can fix it by getting an additional double stick pack from Amazon.

I have two of these and they are solid. Can come dislodged in extreme heat, but unlike others, they just need a cleaning and mount right back up.

Bought this as a replacement part for the iOttie phone car mount I had purchased previously. My part was damaged and was cheaper to replace this part than buy a new phone mount. The product was the correct replacement I needed. All parts work as expected.

I have used hottie many times in the past, and this was a replacement because the suction cup on the dashboard finally gave out. It's not surprising given that my cars are parked in the sun in the Texas heat. (The suction cup lasted for several years.). This piece was exactly like the original, and it was easy to attach the phone holder onto the ball joint and reattach the entire shebang to my dashboard.
