Genteq C3405R 97F9849 Capacitor Motor Run, 40/5Uf, 6%, Case, 370V

Of course my upstairs HVAC stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. I checked the capacitor with a Fluke Multi Meter and it showed the capacitor was bad. I installed this and took care of the problem. I am sure I save a ton of money from getting overcharged for a HVAC service call.

Simple to install, works as designed. Not sure at this time about longevity.

Received a Capcom branded capacitor which is the company that took over Genteq. Identical fit to the original. Works perfect.

Exact same brand and model as the factory OEM capacitor for: 2018 Trane XR model: 4twr5030h1000aa Was doing some yard work and heard the AC condenser fan humming instead of spinning. Day before the hottest day of the year (so far). Wife was freaking out because soonest an HVAC tech could be out was three days. Checked the capacitor and it was swollen, found a replacement with Prime shipping, arrived about 36hrs later, 5 minutes after that the AC was back up and running. Supper easy to replace, plenty of youtube videos showing how to find it, test it, and swap it. Between Amazon and Youtube saved about $350 AND had the AC up and running a day earlier.

This dual rated cap was on my HVAC system condenser (outside) as an OEM part for a YORK system. I bought the home two years ago and decided it was time to clean up the condensers, and do an inspection. The old caps (2 units) had some rust and corrosion around the top, near the terminals. I assumed it was original (approximately 12 year old home) and figured I change it out rather than wait for a failure. The part, as I said, was an OEM product. The improvement made was that the terminals are labeled now on the cap. Problem was, the original was not labeled. So I clearly marked the wiring and re-installed. Unfortunately I had to install a couple wire connectors, but it was no big deal for me. The product works with the unit thus far without issues. It's what I expected, as it's only a capacitor. Not to much complexity here. But I was happy with both price and functionality.

Works great and is pretty reliable for the home. Fits like a glove. Great value.

Replaced in my Payne condenser - same as old as per spec - no problems - back up and running. Always check the uF/voltage specs to ensure they match, and take a pic of the wiring before you disconnect the old - make sure you have the right connections, for my unit that was fan(brown)/herm(blue)/common(yellowx2). Yours my differ.

The product came on schedule, worked as it should and saved me a bundle on having to have a costly repairman come and do it. So glad Amazon has these items. Back to aircon, ahhh!

Perfect replacement capacitor for failing central AC unit. Ordered unit with mathing specs. Installed new capacitor and AC fan is working again. Item was available and delivery was quick. Tried to buy capacitor locally from HVAC repair places and nobody had it. Thank you Amazon! Good by brick and mortar.. :(

Arrived quickly. Replace my old one with it today and my a/c started work again!
