There was a surprise inside the fabric My parents decided screw up the material and inside was crumpled leaves I thought we didn’t belong there

My birds love it. But they tore it all to pieces. Its a great product but if they were to eat this material it wouodnt be good.

I love this little hammock and so does my GCC, but I decided to take it out after reading the horror stories about "happy huts." While I understand that not every bird owner has had a disastrous experience with fuzzy hammocks and not all brands are made alike, the forums have convinced me that I would rather sleep sound at night knowing my bird is safe than to wonder if her hammock will harm her in a life threatening way. If you're too lazy to read the forums, here's the info in brief: bird owners have had their birds die unexpectedly or earlier than their expected lifespan due to one of the following related to fuzzy hammocks: (1) bird chewed hammock and in process swallowed some of the fibers, the fibers didn't pass through and became a fatal mass; (2) bird got foot stuck in fiber inside the hammock and died from exhaustion trying to free itself; (3) bird hung itself on the strings used to hang hammock from cage. Now, I'm sure there are plenty of bird owners who use their hammocks without issue, but as a valued member of our family, I don't want to risk our GCC's life. Since she loves to bite and chew, I would hate to find out I unnecessarily shortened her life ten or fifteen years from now. I've found alternate, more safe ways to give her a warm and snuggly sleep area, and I feel good knowing she'll be safe while I'm gone at work and every day for years to come.

The bird hut was received was nearly tore in half. Both the outside and inside packaging were in pristine shape so the damaged product had to be packaged already damaged. It’s just a guess but it seems this damage was done at the manufacturing level and not by the seller.

Quality is satisfactory however it's larger than advertised.
