The Exo Terra Dual Top UV Light and Basking Spot Canopy is a fluorescent and halogen combination terrarium canopy designed for use with the Exo Terra Glass Terrarium. This durable aluminum canopy has fixtures for two linear 15W fluorescent bulbs and one or two ceramic GU-10 fittings for the 35W Sun Glo Halogen. The halogen light increases the ambient air-temperature in the terrarium and can be controlled with the optional Exo Terra Thermostat. A combination of two Repti Glo bulbs can be used in order to create the ideal ultraviolet, visual light and heat combination for any specific reptile. Optional accessories, such as the Exo Terra Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer and the Exo Terra Thermostat and Hygrostat, can be slid into the special sliding rim on the top of the canopy.Over the years, Exo Terra has become the market leader in reptile products for the natural terrarium. Review: Eine Frage des Geschmacks - Da ich mir diesmal ein Terrarium mit einer Höhe von 90 cm gekauft habe, schien mir das Dual Top mit seinen Halogen Halterung besser für die Ausleuchtung und Wärme geeignet als das Compact Top, welches ich bis zu einer Höhe von 60 cm einsetze. Das Dual Top 60 bietet Platz für zwei Halogen Spots mit E27 Gewinde und zwei Leuchtstoffröhren 15 Watt (wenn man die Exo Terra Leuchtstoffröhren nimmt). Warum habe ich mich für das Dual Top entschieden? Weil es keine Beleuchtung Marke Eigenbau ist, damit eine gewisse Ästhetik ausstrahlt und auch Halterung für die digitalen Thermo- und Hygrometer bietet. Entgegen der Compact Version (nur Plastik) ist das Dual Top oben auch mit Metall verkleidet. Leider ist die Lüftung der Halogenstrahler nicht zu überhören, wenn sonst Ruhe im Raum herrscht. Pro + ästhetische Ausstrahlung + kompakte Bauweise Contra - teuer - Lüfter der Halogenstrahler summt dauerhaft, wie ein kleiner Kühlschrank Fazit: Ich würde es für ein Exo Terra Terrarium mit 90 cm Höhe wieder kaufen, da es meine damit verbundenen Erwartungen erfüllt. Für Terrarien mit einer Höhe bis 60 cm würde ich die kostengünstigere Compact Top Variante empfehlen.
