So I'll start by saying that there are tumblers out there that insulate much better than this one... BUT, you'll also pay much more for them. I wanted something that kept my coffee for for a couple of hours in the morning at work, and kept my water cool throughout the rest of the shift. This does the job. It's not piping hot or freezing cold for hours, but it's at an acceptable temperature for quite a long time on both sides of the spectrum. I do wish it was a little shorter and wider instead of tall and narrow to make getting a spoon in there to stir my coffee a little easier, but that's just a minor gripe. All in all, I'm happy with the quality for the price I paid.

I didn't even bother to use it. The parts on the lid cannot be taken apart and therefore can't be washed properly.As it might happen to everyone, from time to time I forget to open my tumbler and wash it after coming back from work. So the milk/cream sometimes sit in it for a bit of time (especially if it's a weekend). I like to be able to separate every part of the lid of my coffee mugs to wash them properly every week to avoid bacteria growth. This travel mug doesn't give me that option. I guess you could soak it in soapy water to wash, but again I can imagine bacteria growing in tight spaces if you cannot wash them properly.It's a beautiful coffee travel mug though but unfortunately I had to return it due to the above reason.
