Professional Carbon Steel Straight Razors for Men, Barber Razor

This thing comes RAZOR SHARP! Do NOT let children or immature people handle this tool. The blade is slightly wedged into the handle, I hope on purpose, & takes a bit of trying to unfold as if to prevent inadvertent opening. Still be careful. I did the hair-on-the-arm test and this razor is the real deal, & I have fine hairs on my arm. I will post a video in a later review. ALSO, this things is every inch of 11.4". It's like a sword! It's made solid & does not need sharpening for a while.

I just received the razor two days ago and haven't really used it yet, and I never used one before either. It's not intention to become a "straight razor shaver", I'm simply wanting to achieve a straighter hairline between the chin and cheeks. I ordered this particular one because the others looked too short, but it turns out this one is much longer than it looks online, also the curve of the blade is heavier than I expected. So, I may need to get a different one, but even though this razor may not suite my needs, there is nothing wrong with it and it seems like a very good, solid built razor, so I see no reason not to give it 5 stars.

This razor is of excellent quality, but a closer inspection reveals that it requires proper stropping and refinement on a 12,000-grit honing stone before optimal use. Although it did not fully pass the hanging-hair test, it delivered a smooth and comfortable shave on my arm, demonstrating its potential once fully prepared. Overall, with proper maintenance, this razor should provide exceptional performance.

I’m so disappointed. I got this as a gift for my father for Christmas. I saw one review saying the razor would not open so I decided to open the package and make sure that wasn’t the case. It in fact will not open, I’m so upsetEdit: Turns out it was just stuck, I managed to get it open and it is a really nice straight blade. Man you do have to tug on it to get it open

Awesome blade. I saw some unfortunate reviews however this blade rocks. Multiple uses and sharp so be careful. Love it as a Lame for cutting. --

Very nice straight razor with a good weight and balance. Things to be aware of are that it is larger than you might think at around 5 inches which if you have a shaped beard to maintain can make it tricky, also even though it come out the box super sharp you must use a leather strop to maintain its cutting edge.Personally after each shave I take the time to make 20 passes (10 each side) on a leather strop that has 0.5 micron diamond paste applied to it.Really does make shaving an event as the safety net has been removed.
