The "Electronic" (GM's term referring to the controls, not the electric shift motors)) TC is considered a manual TC . Only the AutoTrak is automatic.GM Bulletin 1838912:"If fluid part number 88861800 U.S. (88861801 Canada) is unavailable when servicing a manualtransmission or transfer case, Dexron III can be used in it's place. DO NOT use Dexron VI in place ofthe manual transmission fluid in any manual transmissions or transfer cases as a failure may result" Hope this helps you with a true answer. Direct from GM........ Is this compatible with 2007 escalade ext?

To expand on my previous answer. It is for GM transfer cases. My 2002 Astro AWD was having a slipping problem. In a full left or right turn the front wheels would jump or pulse, it was weird. I researched and found that the plates in the transfer case were dirty and slipping. I flushed the transfer case with this for around 200+ miles then drained and refilled it with this and haven't had a problem since.
