Are these as thick as the gold toe uptown crew sock?

They are not as thick but are a comfortable weight to wear with walking shoes -- like Rockport's. Hope that helps!

Are these over the calf socks? Also do they fall down?

Great socks. Lots of color. They end just below the knee. They stay up well.

Are these very stretchy especially in toes, as I can't take the spandex causing socks to pull back tight on toes as putting on shoes tends to do?

I have buy 10 pack it was for my brother even the biggest size was way to tight we have to give it as a gift, the size 12.5-14 was size 9.

Would these "extended size" socks fit a wide 10-11 shoe size foot?

I would assume so. They stretch without being loose.
