The Aluminum riser shattered after 2 years of use, but its not all bad.
I am an avid archer, have multiple bows that I like shooting. Most are recurve, or composite, but I really liked the feel of the stinger, and it became my favorite. accurate out to 60 yards or so.I had bought the 2018 PSE Stinger January 18, 2019, and used it for target practice. 150 grain arrows, blue max carbon fiber. I did not abuse it, took adequate care in transport and handling. I think I put about 5,000 to 7,000 arrows through it before it shattered. 150 ~ 300 arrows a month for nearly 2 years or so. Weekend target practice, normal stuff. The limbs were fine, but the lower aluminum riser shattered.Word to the wise: These things do have a lifespan so be careful. The problem is, I did not have any ill effects shooting up to the point where it shattered. No warning or 'off' shots, and the riser seemed solid, until they failed. I like PSE, I think I am going to look around to see if this is an uncommon and rare defect or something else.
