I was however unsuccessful in training them how to "paw" the open door button so I eventually broke down and ordered motion sensors and I couldn't be happier! Everyone who comes over is blown away by the opener and how smooth and quiet it operates. Nearly 3 years of constant opening and closing daily and it still runs as great as the day I installed it. Just recently I had the thought of how great it would be if I could also control the door even when I wasn't home so I could spontaneously lock my dogs inside or outside when I needed to (yard service, guests coming over, etc).
