Best pink powder for the painted by Esther look
I wanted to try a look inspired by the one and only painted by Esther. But I didn’t have pink setting powder and didn’t even know if it would look good considering I have a fair complexion and I’m 38 and not a beautiful melanin queen. So I wanted something cheaper but good, like top notch quality. But something I can experiment with given I’m new to this. I decided to try the pink kind and not the translucent pink and just go all in. That way it blends transitionally like her looks. It’s a beautiful powder! Super softly finely milled, pigment is soft and not blinding and actually blended transitionally while brightening my under eyes. I did use a smaller powder puff and not the one it came with then warmed the powder in my hands like she does so it went on in small doses so it doesn’t crease. The key is how she applies her concealer with a powder puff first to not get creasing and use just the trimester amount because a little goes a long way. I have dry oil combo skin and it stayed satiny matte all day even through my nephews graduation and crying. This is a photo after wearing the powder for over 8hrs before I take it off and head to bed.

Smooth Finish and Lasts All Day
Love this setting powder! It goes on smoothly, helps control shine, and gives my makeup a soft, blurred finish without looking cakey. A little goes a long way, and it keeps everything in place for hours.

A powder I didn't know I needed
I tried this powder by chance, I had heard good things about it but couldn't remember exactly where. I came across it in search for a new pressed powder to mattify my skin and set my foundation. I am not used to using loose powders, I always thought they were more of a hassle. Man was I totally wrong. This powder is so easy to use, although I recommend waiting to get dressed until after application since loose powder can land on your top a bit during the application process, or wear something over your clothing. That is not a complaint, as it can happen anytime you apply loose powder. I lately would use Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting powder, but always would go looking to see what new products I could try since I was not happy dropping $50 on a compact every month. I don't mind spending extra on a really good product, but there were still things I didn't love about the forementioned setting powder. I have tried so many powders, M.A.C, Hourglass, It Cosmetics, Chanel, Laneige, Laura Mercier, Lancome, Bare Minerals, NYX, Covergirl, so so many and nothing has worked as beautifully as this. I have oily, acne prone skin and am in my early thirties so I do have some fine lines. These are my biggest concerns when looking at foundation and powders. In a powder I look for something that won't clog my pores but will settle into them without breaking me out and will look natural, not cakey. I don't like a very powdery finish that leaves a cast. I need something that feels lightweight while being able to mattify my skin and blur imperfections. I use a medium coverage foundation that can be worked up to full coverage, so I do not need coverage when it comes to a powder, just a blurring effect that pulls the foundation and powder together beautifully. KimChi's Puff Puff Pass Set Bake Setting Powder really delivers, and hits every single one of my needs in a powder right on the head. I will never stop using it unless they discontinue it (which I pray they don't). I don't bake my face, after doing my eye make up and eyebrows I apply my foundation with my fingers which is my favorite way, I apply setting spray, after the spray dries for a couple of minutes I use a soft velour triangle powder puff to apply this loose powder. I move onto my blush, bronzer, highlighter and do my lips last. Then, I lightly reapply my setting spray and gently reapply a small amount of powder in the areas that get the oiliest (t zone, chin, cheek area nearest the sides of my nose). This is what works best for me although I would highly suggest the velour triangle powder puff for this product for everyone, you can find an inexpensive pack of 8 here on amazon. I will try to add photos later as I did not think about it, but my make up is done with this powder in my main profile photo if it helps. Apologies about the poor lighting, it is unedited so it's not the best photo. I do try to leave reviews on products I love and use often, or on products that I want to save people time and money on buying. I hope this helps anyone looking for a great setting powder that struggles with the same issues I do, give it a try! For the price it is totally worth trying, this container usually lasts me a couple of months sometimes even 3 depending on how often I wear a full face of makeup. You don't need a lot either and it is a great size.

The best
If you're an oily girly, this is 100% for you!! It keeps my makeup looking matte for hours without making it look cakey. It also makes my base look super smooth and blurred. It helps my makeup last so much longer. Definitely one of my favorite setting powders of all time

Did NOT Survive My Tears!
I purchased this powder while trying to find a replacement for the original Fenty lavender setting powder—my absolute holy grail. That formula was flawless: it didn’t alter my makeup, brightened perfectly, and left the most beautiful finish. I was even planning to use it on my wedding day… until they changed the formula. The new version gives terrible flashback, so I’ve been on a mission to find a true replacement. I’ve now worn this powder twice. First wear: I kept it simple—just sunscreen, a bit of Hourglass concealer, and this powder. My makeup didn’t look great by the end of the day, but I didn’t blame the powder since my routine was minimal. Second wear: I gave it a fair shot with a full beat: e.l.f. gripping primer on most of my face, the mattifying version on my nose and chin, House Labs foundation, Hourglass concealer, and then this powder to set everything. Here’s the breakdown: • It is definitely very mattifying, which is great if you’re oily. • It may even be too mattifying if you’re already using gripping/matte primers. • It sets makeup nicely at first and looks good on application. However, the real test failed for me. While watching a show at lunch, I teared up a bit—nothing dramatic, just a couple of tears—and they completely broke down my makeup, leaving visible streaks all the way down to my skin. I genuinely can’t remember the last time that happened (aside from one experience with Laura Mercier powder years ago). Final thoughts: For everyday wear, especially if you don’t expect to cry, this could be a solid, mattifying option. But for my wedding day, this is a no for me. I need something that can stand the test of my tears, and unfortunately this ain’t gonna cut it. 4 star rating is based on the fact that it does do its job well, it’s just missing some key experience that I hope another candidate will have.

Beautiful coverage
I am not wearing makeup as much as I used to. I needed to go through my products and get rid of dated items. I needed a new setting powder for my face. I was reading an article about this brand and decided to try it. I ordered two colors, the Suntan and Almond just based off the pictures. The pictures online are darker than the powder I received. The Almond color is a perfect match for my skin. It comes beautifully packaged. It took me several minutes to get the product open as I was trying to be careful not to spill it all over the counter. I dusted a light amount with a brush over my bare skin and boy was I impressed. This product is lightweight. It does not leave streaks. It goes on smoothly with the brush and takes away all of the shine. Today, I was wearing foundation and dusted this powder with a brush on my face. I cannot believe how nice this powder looks on me. My foundation looked nicely finished and set. I do not use the powder puff included because I find this uses too much product for the look I want. Also, sometimes I find these powders don’t match with my warm skin tone but this one does very well. I wore this all day a did not have to touch up my powder. I am gifting the lighter color to my daughter since it’s closer to her skin tone. If you can get your color to match your skin tone, you might like this powder. I would highly recommend.

Best setting power you will ever use.
The best setting powder, and the only setting powder I will ever use. I’ve used it as my only powder for 2 years now. My makeup doesn’t budge even when I sweat, it looks airbrushed, smooth, textureless. ALL DAY. I’ve even had moments where I pass out with my face on, and I wake up and my base still look flawless. I tried switching to a different brand but the short ingredient list and flawless finish everytime, always brings me back 🤘🏼 highly highly recommend

It's almost there, but not quite it for me
I love KimChi which is why it's so hard to not give this a 5 star review. I fully want to support her and I love what she is doing, however I found this setting powder a little bit too cakey when applied to the skin. I'm also not a huge fan of the shelf life, I understand they don't want to use preservatives, but that does make it expire a lot faster than most other makeup. I do want to say it's cute packaging and I love the applicator. It also matches various skin tones quite well. I just wish the product itself was a little bit better.

Absolute essential
Magic and essential makeup product. My face looks completely unfinished and streaky before using it - it mattifies, blends shades of foundation/contour/concealer/highlight together and I use blush afterward. Lasts a really long time (especially on non-drag makeup!!) and well worth the price.
