Q: Does this work with adj beds?

I got this to go on my husband's adjustable bed and it works great. The manufacturer suggests putting it on the floor but with his matress height there wasn't enough space under the blanket lifter for his size 12 feet. I contracted the frame as small as it would go and put the edge between the box spring and mattress on the end of the bed. The frame stays just fine even when my husband has the bed adjusted to full zero gravity position.

Q: I have to have the mattress raised at the foot, will it work without the mattress holding it down?

My husband needed something to keep the blankets and sheets off his feet. This worked perfectly. The bottom of the blanket lifter rests on the FLOOR, not under the mattress. He was very happy with this inexpensive solution. As you can see, the blanket lifter goes under the top blanket and just keeps it from touching his feet. The mattress has nothing to do with how it works, since it DOES NOT rest between the mattress and box springs.
