Q: Does this nail in or screw in???

It comes with two screws, which I just hammered into the wall and it stuck (since it never holds anything heavy).

Q: Will this work with the jumbo rolls of paper towels?

I definitely use it with oversized rolls. I don't know if I would use the word "jumbo". It is about 3 1/4" to the center of the roll from where it is mounted.

Q: How far apart are the screw holes?

The screw holes are 9" apart and the entire holder is 11 & 3/4" wide. I would buy another one. Perfect for my shop, simple and totally functional.

Q: Will 3M adhesive tape hold this or preferably, Command removable adhesive strips work instead of screws?

It's light weight enough you could probably rig something to hold this with the 3M products. It is screwed to my wall and works perfect installed that way. Your results may differ by not using screws for installation.
