Review: A handy charger for the car (excellent Value !!!) - I bought this item mainly for the batteries but the charger is a nice bonus that works well. Its compact enough to store in my camera bag. Because it has a builtin 120Vac plug that swivels out i do not need to carry long power cord like the one used by the Canon charger that came with the camera. The 12v cigarette lighter plug and cord can stay in my car. This has now become my main charger and my Canon OEM charger is now stored in a closet as a back up. The batteries are a perfect fit for my Canon T5i and each have performed as well as the Canon OEM battery that came with the camera. I have taken several thousand photos in the past couple of months and have not had any complaint regarding battery life or charging. FOLLOW UP: I have been using two of these Wassabi batteries and charger for 21 months along with the OEM Canon battery that came with my camera. I cycled usage of all three batteries as equally as I could across nearly 30,000 shots. Arround about month 14 the Wassabi charger failed while using it in a car. Contacted the vendor and obtained a new one under warrantee with no questions asked once my desertcart purchase transaction was verified. As for the batteries I had no issue until last night (5/23/2015) when I had one battery operate with a reduced capacity. Noticed that both Wassabi batteries have a slight bulge (one more than the other) which is a sign that the end is near for them. By comparison the OEM battery that came with the camera is still going strong and has no bulging. These Wassabi batteries are 1/5th the price of an OEM Canon battery and functioned well enough that I consider them an excellent value. Based on my overall positive experience with this product I have decided to make new purchase of 2 batteries and charger to day (05/24/2015) 4out of 5 because of some difficulty getting the batteries out of the charger. The batteries fit and snap in very easily how ever taking the battery out is a little difficult as the battery needs to be pressed to the side at a lower corner with some force to release it from a spring latch. The OEM Canon battery is particularly difficult to remove because its latch detents on the sides are slightly deeper compared to the other two batteries. The instructions were not that clear in describing how to remove the battery from the charger. I had to use a table knife to pry the battery out the first time i tried it. I then noticed a small arrow cast into the plastic that was covered by the battery that was labeled remove. Once i pressed the battery in that direction it popped out with a little pressure but without the need to pry it out with a knife.
Review: Great Replacement Battery for my Canon T3i - Every photographer, old and new alike, should have a spare battery or two whenever they're shooting. This is such an incredible price for two batteries plus a spare charger (total is still half the cost of one original Canon battery) that it's a no brainer. I was deciding between this Wasabi battery set and the Photive battery and ultimately bought this set because of it's great value and price. PROS: -Both batteries are each 2000mAh and hold a longer charge, compared to Original Canon LP-E8's 1120mAh -Affordable price - advertised as premium cells from Japan but made in China (expected) -Also charges the original Canon LP-E8 battery CONS: -Battery indicator not accurate (other reviewers mention the reason the original Canon battery is expensive is because it has a built in chip that accurately predicts the battery level). From my experience using the Wasabi batteries, it does indicate accurately the battery is full (3 bars) when it is fully charged, but does not indicate the progression of the battery level as it is used. However, five to ten minutes before the batteries are completely drained, it will indicate the battery level at its halfway mark (2 bars) for ~2 minutes and then progresses to 1 bar before the whole battery indicator flashes, giving you the pop up warning to replace batteries. -Hard to remove battery from charger - some of the negative reviews centered on this battery is the fact that after you charge the battery, it's hard to remove from the charger. A video has been uploaded already on desertcart for your perusal, but it's really easy to remove. To be fair, there are arrows on the charger surface itself indicating how to remove the battery, although less clear. INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE CHARGER: -Simply push the bottom of the battery towards the right side of the charger (while facing the charger) and then lift the battery up and voila! The battery snaps off like a breeze. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set of Wasabi batteries and charger for any photographer. For this price, it's equivalent to getting an extra battery and spare charger for the price of one OEM battery. If you made it this far in my review, go get yours today!

**Q: Is there a trick to get the battery OUT of the charger?**
A: Here we are in 2018 and no one seems to have noticed or mentioned the small triangle / arrow on the end that goes into the charger first. To remove the battery, push it in the direction of the triangle / arrow and pull up on the other end. Forget that left-right or top-bottom business.

**Q: Look that Wasabi Power's picture, the output are 4.2 V and current like 800 mA. The Wasabi battery is 7.2 V with 1.500 mAh. How do Wasabi battery can**
A: The different models of battery have different voltages and ampacity, depending upon model.  Make sure you have the exact battery for your camera.  I wouldn't rely on the picture to provide the battery specifications, but rather on the text which reads:"Includes two (2) Wasabi Power batteries for LP-E8; each with 7.2V, 1500 mAh, Japanese cells "  the "LP-E8" defines the model of Canon Battery that this replaces, which is a 7.2V.  Check your existing Canon battery for that exact info.  The 1500mAh defines how long the battery will power your camera . . . like 1 liter of gasoline will power your car for 8 miles and 4 liters of gasoline will power your car for 32 miles . . I don't see the photo referencing 4.2V.  Buy on the description not the picture.

**Q: Opinions wanted... Are these battery packs just as good as the Canon brand for a T5i ?  They seem to last as long?**
A: I have a T3i and a 70D. So the batteries I got for the T3i the two pack you are asking about did not fit my camera. I don't know if your camera and mine take the same battery or not. If you can find the one that fits your camera I definitely think the batteries are just as good as canons. I bought one for my 70D as well and it works great its the right battery and I love it. So basically if you can find the one that fits your camera go for it.

**Q: Is this suitable for the Canon EOS Rebel T3 (not the T3i)**
A: Provably not. I think the shape of the batteries are different between the t3i and t3. The little thing that sticks out where battery makes contact with the camera is not the same.
