I went through Blackberries, cat claws, saw greenbrier, and probably other plants that wanted to rip me up. My shirt sleeves were snagged hundreds of times, but very few thorns made it through these sleeves. I am very susepable to poison ivy, without the sleeves on I would get a rash between my shirt sleeves and my gloves. The only down side is that after wearing the sleeves for several hours, my arms itched like crazy for 30 minutes after I took them off. Plus the stiching around the thumb guard is a little to thick.
