Only if the Thinkpad 8 can draw power from a charging usb 3.0. I charge my IPad and Windows phone with the front USB port on this device... If the windows tablet can draw power from a ipad ac adapter, it can draw power from this device...

Does power connect to the docking station from the power adapter and from the docking station to the Yoga Ultrabook?

No, they are both powered by independent adapters. The docking station does not power the laptop.

I notice that there are other videos adapter with the usb 3.0 and the graphic is quite slow and laggy; is this about the same?

I also have not had that issue and I am also using every single connector on my dock, including 2 monitors (laptop screen makes 3). I also have external hard drives connected. I also am not a gamer, so cannot attribute video graphics for that genre. Hope this helps.
