Excellent Scissor-Switch Keyboard and Great Value for the Money!
This keyboard arrived yesterday, so I've only used it briefly at this point. But since there were no other reviews, I wanted to go ahead and get one posted. Plus, what better way to test out typing on the Cougar Vantar! I am a casual gamer but I dislike mechanical keyboards, so straightaway, I'm predisposed to prefer this keyboard since there aren't a lot of scissor-switch options out there that also market to gamers. Like most driverless devices these days, it couldn't have been easier to set up...just plug in the USB and away you go. The instructions were clear and easy to understand as far as how to adjust the various lighting options. In my opinion, the back-light colors are vibrant and the three brightness settings offer good, distinct options. A minor quibble is that the lights under each key are focused towards the bottom of the letters, so the tops are not as brightly lit. It's still perfectly easy to tell what each letter is at a glance, but it's something to be aware of in case that might bug you. All of the various hot keys/function keys work perfectly and I particularly love the F12 key that brings up the calculator!I have fairly small hands and I don't have any trouble reaching all of the keys without uncomfortable stretching. The keys are completely silent except for the space bar key, which has a much more distinct "click" when tapped than the rest of the keys. It's still by far quieter than a mechanical keyboard, or really any other keyboard I've ever used. The keys provide just enough tactile feedback to know you've pressed the key, but with a minimum amount of travel. More than anything else, I'm very pleased with the "feel" of the keys. It was exactly what I was looking for, but if you prefer a feeling of more travel when you press the keys then this might not be for you. I played a couple of different games and all my key presses registered quickly and accurately. As far as quality goes, the keyboard feels very sturdy and has a bit of "heft". It doesn't slide around on my keyboard tray and feels stable without the slightest bit of rocking. The USB cable is made of some kind of braided material that almost feels like it is wrapped in a sturdy fabric. It feels like it will last for years and resist kinking or fraying; it also moves easily without tangling or being too stiff.Overall, the only true downside I've found so far is that the keyboard doesn't appear to remember the lighting selection between restarts. However, it only requires a few button presses to change, so it's not a huge hardship. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone who likes a scissor-switch style and enjoys having back-lighting options.

Decent for the price, though some annoyances. Still worth it for the non-enthusiast, I think.
I'm in agreement with some of the other reviewers thus far. For the price, it's a good piece of hardware. Not great; just good.Pros+It's sooo pretty with the lights. And you can turn them off completely with a quick key combo.+Minimalistic, low-profile, slim.+Quiet. Even quieter than my MBP keyboard.+Braided cable is good. And it's long.+If you're used to typing on laptops, it's a real similar feel.+No special software needed. Just plug and play. But...Cons-Lighting control is all in the keyboard; there's no software to control the lighting like my Logitech G502 mouse has. I think there are 8 strobing/lighting patterns to choose from, with minimal customization in each (speed and direction mainly, with color options in some).-May just be on my keyboard, but I've noticed some keys won't press as easily, mainly around WASD area (which is kinda important). So you have to press harder.-For a keyboard clearly aimed at gamers, I think the Function key is in a weird spot, next to the left Ctrl. So I'm constantly accidentally hitting Function-W instead of Ctrl-W to crouch walk. And Function-W turns swaps to right-handed WASD (for lefties) via Arrow keys. Not particularly well-thought out.-Without the backlights on, it's tough to read the keys.To be completely honest, it's almost like a regular laptop keyboard that's been enlarged. The lighting and perhaps the WASD-swap are the only things that make me think it's a gaming keyboard.Though for someone like me who's not a "keyboard enthusiast," this was a cheap upgrade to my gaming setup. It does what I need it to do well enough, while looking nice, and being quiet (I can't stand mechnicals because they're so loud).

Great for typing, not for gaming
I was hoping to use this keyboard for typing and gaming. I really like the scissor switch of my old laptop and wanted to keep the quick typing feel of what a scissor switch can provide. The keyboard types great and is really responsive to letters. However, for gaming, it's not going to cut it. If your game requires held buttons to move (like mine does with W) you will notice the key registers that you quickly took your finger off sometimes. The key stays completely depressed, but does not register the continuous pressure unless you're pressing harder than normal. You shouldn't have to press hard when the key is fully physically depressed. Additionally, the non ghosting keys really don't work with the other keys at all. If holding down a few of the anti-ghosting keys while playing, and you attempt to use a regular key, it will not register whatsoever. This means I would have to change my hotkeys and playing style when all of my anti-ghosting keys are already binded. The RGB settings are fun. I notice the LEDs, especially around the rim are noticeably uneven, in that you can clearly see where the light is behind the plastic, and where the light starts to fade out. If you had the keyboard on a dynamic setting (i.e. one where the light is constantly changing) this isn't as noticeable.I read some reviews about the light being centered under the key which hinders readability. I really don't see this as an issue. I don't need to look at the keys to find them when I'm typing, but even if you did, I think this keyboard would do just fine at helping you find the letters even in a dark room. The keyboard is "plug and play" so to speak. Zero setup needed as far as installations or drivers, and it defaults to a dynamic rainbow which is really neat. No programming necessary. In sum, I really enjoy this keyboard for typing, but it's not going to cut it for my gaming needs and I don't even play games that are very demanding.

Impresionante teclado

Great Value!
I am in love with this keyboard! The visuals are amazing and the scissor switches are so satisfying. The keys are a little far spaced apart for my liking, but its something that i can get used to. The biggest things for me with this keyboard are the facts that its super slim yet sturdy, rgb color with amazing effects and even customization, and of course, the clicky (not clacky) scissor keys. I do wish that the keys were matte material instead of just plastic, and I have a feeling that the WASD keys will wear down eventually, but for this price, it's an amazing value!

The LED lights are weak
The keyboard is nice, it's quiet and robust. But it's incredibly difficult to see the keys, as the LED is weakened by the frosted plastic. As I am a two-finger typist who needs to look at the keyboard to type, this is a disappointing feature. In dim evening light it's slightly better than under bright sunlight, but the upper symbols above the numbers etc are virtually invisible even then.

CTRL KEY AND S KEY GAVE OUT
The keyboard is great but after 2 year of use keys started to gave out and i often game so WASD and CTRL became weak and two of them broke and i had to use tape to keep them in place... also the lights around the keyboard are not as bright as they are in the pictures or video... so i was a bit let down by it :( but other than that its a great keyboard

Bueno, bonito y funcional
