I bought this as a slip to wear under a lace dress I had crocheted. As it turned out, the color was not a deep eggplant purple as pictured, but a medium shade of purple. I knew it was a gamble to match colors, but thought I would wear it regardless.I had read reviews about this dress running large, but was not expecting HOW large; it is at least two sizes! I didn't want to go through the hassle of a return since this company's policy is different than the easy Amazon return, so I decided to keep it and wear it as a nightgown. It is very comfortable and breathable, so no great loss.

Nice dress, very soft. However the fit is loose. I guess it's a "tunic" dress as described but I wasn't expecting it to be as loose as it is. I am 5'8/185lbs usually I buy a medium or large. I tried both in this case and the large was very, very big while the medium was just extremely loose, mostly around the waist and below. It might just be the style. It's not fitted at all. Super comfy though, but if you want to wear anything like a kimono or cardigan over it you'll probably look boxy. I wanted to wear something over the top, but with how loose it is I don't think I can.

I just received the orange and the red. After reading some rather negative reviews, I tried on the two smalls I ordered. I love the material. I love the bright colors. Mine are an A line cut that sits just above the knee. I am 5”7 and I weigh 112. I found these not to be see through and very comfortable on a hot day I’m sure. I have plans on pairing the orange one with a kimono for church, mine are far from too short, and I hadn’t thought how I would style the red dress. I am thinking of pairing with white cowboy or chunky boots and a white little wrap, sweater, or another top. I love these and I have A LOT of clothes. I moved and just donated a truck full so I could replenish with new things. I may have to go back and purchase more colors at this price.

Finally, a real customer who purchased this dress at retail weighs-in candidly.  NINEXIS Women's Loose Fit Thin Strap Flared Dress BLACK L  This dress gives new meaning to the phrases "Loose Fit" and "Flared." The NINEXIS dress is not as pictured on product page. In the photo you see some semblance of a waistline, when in reality there is none. From top to bottom, this dress is a tent. There is no curve or waist to the dress at all. The fabric is too sheer for outdoors, revealing exactly what's underneath. There is no v-neck to speak of, There are a few stitches mid-neckline, however it looks completely rounded. The two little straps that hold this up are of an elastic nature, causing them to sag under the weight of the dress. The straps are made of the same material as the dress.Saggy and dumpy is how I would describe this dress, and I use the term "dress" very loosely here. This is because this dress resembles my grandmother's nightie more than it does an actual dress. This is due to both the cut and the fabric it is made of. If you have any waist or figure at all it will be lost completely somewhere under this dress. Not flattering in the least. I am 5"7, 150 pounds and was lost in the Size Large.♦️ PHOTO INACCURATE - NO WAIST TO SPEAK OF - The product page photo shows the dress slightly drawn in at the waist, in reality the dress hangs wider at the waist. The dress forms a triangle silhouette from top to bottom. The dress flares wider and wider the further down from the neckline you get.♦️ STRAPS ARE FIMSY - Straps are too flimsy and of an elastic nature. The material is not heavy, and yet the straps sag under the weight of the dress.♦️ TOO SHEER FOR OUTDOORS & LOOKS CHEAP - Outdoors, in natural lighting, this dress is too sheer. You can absolutely see what is underneath. The fabric looks and feels like a cheap knit blend.🌐 OVERALL: This is not a flattering dress. I retuned mine. I bought four of these dresses in different prints, same seller, the black on was a few inches shorter than the other three. They are very comfortable and wash well.

Love the color, not crazy about the fit, a little adjusting will be perfect.

This is basically the perfect dress, IMO. I love shift dresses on my figure (5'6" ~185 lb with a large butt and C cups, purchased a size L) and this one is super flattering, especially when paired with a long cardigan like in my picture. I LOVE IT, and I am excited to get it in different colors. If you are concerned about a pooch or any other curves, I would stick to darker colors because when blowing in the wind, the fabric can run against the pooch part of my belly and that's the only time I feel self conscious in it. But sticking to the darker colors makes this much less of an issue and the rest of the time away from the wind, this dress is perfect and flows away from the body. Not too short but not too long, it comes to about an inch above my knee, it doesn't blow up and flash everyone in the wind, it is super versatile and would look great with boots or sandals, I just adore it!

I love this "dress" for layering over jeans and under my shirts. The ones I have bought from the Ninexis seller have been perfect for what I wanted. I wish that seller would come back, I really want more of these.I tried buying from the seller 'U States Lady" but not only did it take a while to receive the "dress", it was several inches shorter than the one that came from Ninexis and was not usable for my purposes.I keep checking back on this listing, hoping the original seller comes back so I can stock up on these. They do wear out and get little holes in them after a while.

I ordered this in hopes of having it as a cute summer dress. The dress itself is light, summery, and I am happy with the quality considering the price. The real downfall here is the shipping - it took almost 2 months to get to me, so I didn’t get to wear it for summer.
