I am long over due in writing this review but here it is.To start off with I live in Mexico where Oakley Woods does not ship to at the moment so I had to order the set and have it delivered to a friends place in the States. The set arrived on time but I had ordered a six player set and only four balls and the four player posts (only four colors were painted on the posts instead of the six colors) were shipped with the set. I contacted Oakley Woods and the owner himself responded an apologized. Shortly afterwards I received the missing balls and the correct posts. No questions or hassles. Great customer service!The set itself is definitely heavy duty. The wickets are insanely strong and the mallets are indestructible (unless you go around whacking fixed solid objects with them). Someone commented about the case being smallish which I don't understand as the one I received fits just right and it padded as well to help protect the set while stored.Seriously, while this set is expensive, you won't be buying another one again for a long time coming. Prior to buying this one I had bought a $100 set that started to break before the first game was finished. Needless to say that got returned for a refund. I highly doubt I'll have any issues with this set.Thanks again to Oakley Woods for their great customer service.

Great set. The balls were kind of cheap. There was a nipple where the plastic was injected into the mold. On an expensive set I would expect this detail to be taken care of. I filed it off before using.

We ordered this set after being frustrated with the quality of a cheaper set.This set is great! It is expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for. The whole set is very sturdy.We have enjoyed backyard croquet, but had the most fun while camping. We set up multiple cross-country extreme courses with jumps, trick shots and long shots. It was even more fun playing as teams.

This set is for real; it is as described and attested to by others. My concern was that the white mallet heads might get color scuff marks from striking the balls. But no, that isn’t happening. Great croquet set!! Trust me, everything (mallets, balls, wickets, end poles) is a huge upgrade over the set you are currently using.

This set is heavy duty except for the balls (removed the star for this). But the rest is hands down the best I have ever seen-5 big stars, well worthy of a great review. We have gone through over 5 sets ($100-$200 each) over the past 20 years and I can see this set holding up for 20+ years. The wickets are STURDY, the mallets appear indestructible, good weight and size. The bag is a bit lacking and small.Update-still in great condition after 2 years.Update- Still in great condition (2016). It does get used and abused so while the upfront cost is pricy, it has saved us several replacement sets. It is also a lot more fun than cheaper sets. Balls are holding up well too. bumped up to 5 stars.

Our croquet group has been frustrated with "backyard" quality croquet equipment but were not ready to absorb the expense of a professional set.This product was perfect. High quality at a price we could afford. Had a small issue with different size balls shipped in error and that was resolved quickly, amicably and immediately. Nice family business. We would order again but I don't see this stuff wearing out. Really pleased.

I really questioned my sanity on this purchase, but it is truly a quality product that is the "adult version" of the game! EVERYONE that comes over loves playing. We got addicted using my cousin's identical set at a family reunion. NO REGRETS! This is extreme quality and will be passed down to my kids. You can either get a cheap version for a $100 or less, so so for $200's or bite the bullet and get this. Again, No Regrets!

This is a perfect set for the humid conditions of the Eastern side of Maui. Extreme Croqet is a growing sport for the Snow Birds and locals looking for an alternative for recreations. the mallets are almost indestructible. We highly recommend this product.amazon rocks!
