Pretty, but....
Arrived quickly. This looks like it may be nice, however the instructions that came with it were terrible. Had to search for English instructions between all the other languages which I have no problem with, however, printing was terribly small even with glasses. I took pics of directions with my cell and then enlarged from my phone. Instructions besides being too small to read, were not good, diagrams did not match instructions. Two pictures were offered to show 2 different fountain designs of water flow, but were not in order. I had to sit for 2 hours trying all the parts to see which ones went together and which did not. Very frustrating that they can't mark each piece and give better diagrams. When I buy a 2-level pattern together and put it in the water, it did work, but not a lot of force came out, although it has been overcast here so will have to see when the sun comes back out in the next 3 days. Horrible directions, so be prepared to be frustrated and sit for awhile figuring it out on your own.

Good but with Problems
I received a 'new' unit (it didn't have the plastic film covering the solar panels thus was a return) but it worked just fine; the unit charges well, pump sprays well and the LED lights/pump last well after dark. The problem is that this unit must be in direct sun, which means that water heats up and evaporates VERY quickly in hot regions (i.e. CA) and the spray can be blown off the bowl/bird bath which only exacerbates the loss of water... both of these points are especially impacting on smaller bird baths. I may try this manufacturers systems that use a separate solar panel so I can get the bird bath into partial shade... the birds may drink and bathe in it if the water isn't 100 deg! :)9/27/22 Update: Still works fine. Found out that if you lay the device in the sun, it will start running once fully charged. At this point, place it back into the pond and it'll remain charged through out the day and will run an hour or so longer after dark. It still doesn't last long after the sun sets but it helps.2/21/23 Update: After daily use of this solar pump for months, it's still working. I also have realized that when in full sun and out of water, the pump will not run (or shuts off after a few seconds) - obviously the self-protection; this was expected but didn't always do so at first, but it works well. Being that it's winter, the days are shorter so I commonly have the pump out of water on its side for hours (to get a good charge); as the suns sets, I place it back into the bird bath and it'll commonly run for over 4 hours after dark with the lights on! Not a perfect item but very good for the price!

Really wanted to like this.
The media could not be loaded. When I took it out of the loose box it was in (the box flaps were open), there was a tab that was supposed to be adhered to a film covering the top surface. But there was no film. Which explains why the surface was all scratched up. It appears to be a return that was slightly used. I used it anyway, as another reviewer described the same thing happening to them. It was odd, but when I accidentally touched the metal sensor attached to the battery, the pump turned on. When I put it in the birdbath I have, it immediately turned on, even in the evening shade. The battery had been charged already, another clue it had been used. At night, the pump still worked and the lights as well, but every night since then it only works about two hours after the sun goes down. It was missing a tube that attaches the smaller fountain heads to the pump, rendering them useless. I actually had to take a clear Bic pen shaft to create a makeshift tube to use them. The "adjustable" arms that supposedly stop it from moving around will retract at the slightest touch, rendering them unusable as well. This was a very disappointing product, especially since it had been used and I paid for a brand new fountain. The pump did not have adjustable flow like the instructions illustrated, so that wasn't even correct. As a matter of fact the pump looked exactly like the pump that my last cheapo fountain had. It was definitely a step up from my last fountain, but I was cheated out of my money because this one was not a brand new item. In conclusion, the fountain has a good design, but the implementation is horrible. And if you purchase this, make sure that you're getting a new fountain.

Fountain motor issue, but the company did me good
I really enjoyed this fountain while it lasted, attaching the fountains water extensions was a little tricky and the tallest one spit out too much water for my shallow dish and splashed the deck, causing the water to lower too fast. The fact that it stops once it gets too low was a nice feature as well. The other settings worked well and I really liked them. The lights at night were really pretty and fun to watch change, the fountain was pleasant and nice to listen to as well as watch. Unfortunatley I was cleaning it for the second time 3 months after I bought it and the motor died on me. I reached out to the company and they offered a replacement or a refund which was great, really nice that they lived up to that as well. Thank you

Much nicer than others
I’ve been using solar fountains about 5 years. I have some of the 1st generation that still work. This version is easier to keep positioned and the legs aren’t easily disintegrated by the sun. This is easy to keep clean and doesn’t take long to start. I found it easier to control spillage from small basins with this version. I now have 2 of these and would purchase again. I have had some difficulty with the spinning option as it appears temperamental. It could be operator error, not sure however the various spray options are superior.

Best ever
The media could not be loaded. I’ve gone through at least 10 of these threw the years and this maker is the best and this model is the best one ever

Did not last long
I was really pleased when I first got the item. It's really pretty and produces a variety of shower patterns, but it broke after about a week so it totally was not worth the money. I was pretty disappointed.

Buyer beware
Solar had a remover plastic protective cover on it which was non existent and the solar already looked marked. It had very little power, just a trickle even in direct sun and terrible instructions. It does not spin like stated..the attachment has no way of spinning!! Instructions also showed a picture of the pump within the contents and it had a pressure control on it...this is also non existent on the actual pump. Plastic arm fell off straight away and does not click back in so will continue to fall off and pieces are terrible to remove and brittle. One of the pieces in ours was already cracked. Very disappointed.

It’s “ok”
What I liked: I popped this in a half barrel that so had stacked rocks in for the birds. It was stupid easy to put together and worked immediately when I put it in the water.Didn’t like: I live in a super sunny area but it doesn’t pump the water as high as you see on the pictures. But it isn’t terribleFor the money it’s acceptable but make sure you know what you want it for. I think it would be best in a shallow dish bird bath and if you want to see the lights make sure it’s well below your site line.

Long Lasting and Quiet
No assembly was required and it came with everything in place; I just needed to place it in the water. The side brackets that open are a bit flimsy and 1 came off while I was opening it, but it snaps right back in place. Installing the nozzles were a bit of a puzzle but was understandable after some fiddling around. The pump is extremely quiet, and you can only hear the fountain. The RGB lights are very bright and light up the water nicely. Battery life is great as I see it running almost all day and a couple of hours into the night.I did notice that some of the nozzles sprayed water onto the solar panel making it sink a little. However, I don’t think it affects its performance. I do wish the fountain sprayed the water a bit higher, but other than that it works and looks amazing at night.

Does not run long at all
thought having a more powerful charger would make this a better choice, so I'm very disappointed. When it does run which isn't for long it hardly sprays much water at all and it certainly does not rotate like it shows in the photo's. For the money this is not worth it at all. It has never had the lights working once at night either. Would not recommend this product.
