None have worked as well as the 2022 version of this device, which linked up more quickly and more reliably than other similar devices. The only problem was a lag in phone conversations, generally around 4-5 seconds. The ad for this 2023 version promised to be faster, so I decided to give it a try. This 2023 version is just as reliable, and link up speed is even faster than before. There is sometimes still a noticeable lag in phone conversations, but it is much shorter, from 0-2 seconds, And some conversations are quite normal. Overall I would say that Ottocast has outdone the previous model, which was already better than the others. UPDATE #2: I previously reported that the 2023 Ottocast was dropping its bluetooth connection to my phone. I did some more testing and found the problem to be a defective cable connecting the Ottocast to my car (USB-C to USB-A). The bluetooth connection dropped every time I repositioned the cable. I was able to use the cable from my 2022 Ottocast, and voila! no more connection drops. So the 2023 is not defective, just the cable that shipped with it. I messaged Ottocast that I will restore my 5-star rating if they ship me a new USB-C to USB-A cable. Haven't heard back yet. Update #3 - I just received the replacement cable from Ottocast. Very fast response, great customer service. This unit continues to outperform the 2022 Ottocast, which had already outperformed four others that I have tried. As promised, I have upgraded their rating to 5 stars. No one can be expected to test every cable that they include in their products. If you find your cable is affected when jarred, then ask for a new one. Review: Quick easy installation and works as advertised - Everything about this device is much better than I expected, easy setup. I was pleased with the quick connection with no delays each time you get in the car and start it your phone connects asap. I have had it for alittle over month and I have had no glitches or problems we use it in our work truck gives us more option than the basic chevy interface. One thing needed maybe would be would be giving a long and short cable for product but of course a person could change that themselves. Five stars still. ## Features - 【 Wireless CarPlay Dongle Connect in 12s 】Worried about dealing with wired CarPlay? Five stars still. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It died … after a lengthy battle *by A***Y on April 13, 2023* When I first got the Ottocast it seemed to work fine. However as time went on it started to crash randomly. I did the update and it only got worse. Finally after the latest update it just quit working all together. Just a brick. Ugh it’s a lot of money to be such trash. Don’t buy. Update :: After talking with the folks at OTTO cast - Specifically Julie - I was able to borrow a PC and get the firmware updated - and it seems like it's running okay now! No sudden restarts - so far! Still would have liked a Mac updating process ... since I don't own a PC ... but I'm thankful for my friend who let me borrow it -and Julie who walked me through it all step by step. Update 2:: After just day's of getting it back up and running - the OTTO cast started to randomly restart. I would reset it - but it was only a matter of hours before it started to randomly restart ... then again and again ... That said JULIE once again came to my rescue and I am able to send it back for a fix or replacement. So thankful for her technical support! Update 3:: Their asking for a higher star rating before they fix it ... sigh. Let's hope it gets fixed! ## Frequently Bought Together - OTTOCAST Wireless CarPlay Adapter U2-AIR, Apple Car Play Wireless Adapter for iPhone iOS10 + and OEM Wired CarPlay Cars 2016-2024, Plug & Play Car Dongle Converts Wired to Wireless - ANDTOBO 【2024 Upgraded】 USB 2.0 A Male to 2 Dual USB Female Jack Y Splitter Hub Power Cord Extension Adapter Cable - 【Upgraded】 125W USB C Car Charger Super Fast Charging for iPhone 16, [PD65W & QC60W][All Metal] MRGLAS Cigarette Lighter Car Charger,Dual Port for iPhone 16 15 Pro Plus iPad Samsung S24 MacBook-Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/433092638-ottocast-wireless-carplay-adapter-u2-air-apple-carplay-wireless-adapter](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/433092638-ottocast-wireless-carplay-adapter-u2-air-apple-carplay-wireless-adapter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
