WranglerMen's 13MWZ Cowboy Cut Original Fit Jeans

Men's jeans for a man's man.
Well, if you're wearing these jeans. You're more than likely a man's man and not a baggy pants hippie. Wranglers are thick, durable, don't mind grease stains, and don't complain when you scrape off concrete splatter. I would suggest these jeans to anyone looking to boost their testosterone levels. One pant leg boosts chest hair growth, and the other boosts beard growth. Button and zip them up and you increase vehicle knowledge 50% and George Strait starts playing from the heavens.

As good as you're going to get for this little money.
I am reviewing the rigid denim 13MWZ, purchased May 2017.These classic Cowboy Cuts are the best bang for the buck out there. In terms of design, Cowboy Cuts are an improvement on Levi's in many ways that make a difference in everyday use:1) Higher back pockets. This looks better on asses, doesn't look saggy, and it's more practical.2) Wider/deeper watch pocket. The Levi's watch pocket is useless.3) Double-felled outseams, as opposed to double-felled inseams on Levi's. This is more comfortable on inner thighs, and doesn't wear down as quickly.4) Generally thicker denim with a more durable broken-twill weave. Levi's are 10–12 oz. denim, while most colors of Cowboy Cuts are at least 14 oz., and some are over 15 oz. To be fair, some colors of Cowboy Cuts are made from lighter weight denim, but not the standard blues and blacks (mostly light colors like white and tan, and some grays).5) Riveted back pockets.6) Smooth rivet caps so you don't scratch stuff7) More belt loops8) Higher waistband, closer to where a waistband should be on most people (at the belly button).9) Straighter leg than Levi's, from top to bottom. This means they fit tighter in the thighs and ass, but still give you plenty of roominess in the lower legs, without actually being flares. Up high, they fit more snugly and thus stay in place better than Levi's. Even the Levi's that are supposedly straight legged are actually significantly bigger up top than they are down the leg. Outside of old-style loose-straight dungarees, Wrangler Cowboy Cuts are the straightest legged jeans you'll find.In short, they are more practical and more durable than Levi's, just by way of design and materials. Also, they are extremely reasonably priced ($20–$35 vs. $30–$60 for Levi's), and they're still manufactured with some semblance of quality (made in Mexico of U.S. material; Levi's are made all over the place, and only the stupidly expensive ones use U.S.-made fabric). The only "drawback" is that they look "country." They are a more formal (high waisted, tight, neat) looking jean than Levi's, and they don't come in attractive dark indigo washes. The blue is a very bland or even somewhat garish blue. If you feel that way about them, then get them in black and your problems go away.Out of the big three American denim brands (Levi's, Lee, Wrangler), in my experience Wrangler's quality has held up the best over the years. They aren't 100 percent as good as they used to be, but they haven't slipped nearly as badly as Levi's. Lees (which are now owned by the same conglomerate that owns Wrangler) have gone downhill the most; they are garbage jeans these days.Bottom line, I highly recommend these jeans. They are as good as you're going to get for the money these days.

Amazingly comfortable and fitting jeans.
These jeans are perfect! Seriously, they fit amazingly well and look great on me. My butt looks amazing and so does the front side. Looks as I though I may become a wrangler man after all. I have just ordered some more in different colors. I will try to upload some photos for a better view.

Know What You're Getting! They're Different Than Other Wranglers.
These are well-made, durable jeans, but you need to be aware of some details if you have only worn other Wrangler styles before.First, compared to Wrangler's "Regular Fit" jeans, these "Cowboy Cut" jeans are much slimmer in the waist, lower abdomen, and seat. Also, the pockets are tight to the jeans and not very deep; a thick wallet is tough to get in and out. Finally, the material is board-stiff when new, and requires many washings to soften up.Again, these are good, well-made jeans. No disrespect. But they are different than what you may be accustomed to.

Great Fit and Look, if Unexpected
If you're familiar with Wrangler jeans you'd find at Target or WalMart (with the "Premium Quality" patch on the waist), you might be surprised. Cowboy Cut Original Fit jeans are higher-waisted and fit a little roomier in the thigh than a straight-leg fit, and at first I was skeptical. But these jeans on their own merits are comfortable, move well and fit snug in the seat and crotch just how I like, and the legs fit great and "stack" nicely over boots. Terrific pair of jeans, once I gave them a chance!

Wranglers Wrock!
Wrangler jeans have always been my choice; 13MWZ style is what I have worn as long as I can recall wearing jeans. There's a saying among Wrangler wearers...if they ain't Wranglers, they ain't jeans. For users new to rigid jeans, there will be a learning curve. The denim in not prewashed or prepared in any way, so they are rigid. Washing them 3 times, inside out, before wearing them will get rid of some of the dye and will loosen them up a bit. You should also NOT machine dry them for the first few washes. Just put them on and do deep-knee bends to help stretch them. Wear them a long time before washing again; Wranglers will last a very long time and need some break-in work.

Shrink a lot
They fit fine at first, then every time they are washed they shrink a lot. I also have the same Wrangler jean in the pre washed type (#13MWZPW) (same size) that do not do this. These (#13MWZ) do stretch out after I wear them a little while, but they are hard to get on at first. For some reason the non - pre washed ones like this shrink up more. It's not just the waist and length; even the waist button hole shrinks. I can barely get the button through the hole after washing - I have to force it with a lot of effort. That hole also stretches after wearing them awhile. Then it too shrinks up with the next washing. I am washing them the same way as the pre washed types which do not have the problem. I would definitely not buy the non pre washed type again.

Third time was the charm
I ordered the first pair 33x30 like always. It came way too tight. Then I ordered 34x30 and it came 34x33. The third order was for 34x30 again and it came through 34x30 and it fits just great. Too much work but amazon prime made it go smoothly. UPDATE: DO NOT BUY!!! Here's why: on the second washing they shrunk to where I couldn't wear them. And I bought them oversize: 34x30 instead of 33x30. And no I did not dry them on high heat. I dry everything on the lowest setting. Hope this helps someone. I'm going back to Carhardt even though they wear out too soon. Can't wait for HEMP to be legalized.

nice fit
at last some jeans i can on or just over my hip rather down hanging low (like all the jeans seem to be in the uk now )...and they are 100% cotton so none of that horrible elastine which even 1 to 2% can make the jeans horrible ive had trouble with some wrangelrs in the UK not even cut correctly in length and being too short to the stated size on the label ...but these are are cut correctly...the only gripe i have is i ordered 2 pairs and one pair does have a mark on the cotton where the thread has a weaving mistkake but its very small and considering what it might cost to send them back for a replacement i can live with it specially as i cant get these jeans in the UK from shops . i think ill order the skinny pair next as the rodeo cowboy cut are a little baggy at the bottom for some shoes ..obviously making room for the boot (which i do wear at times so its all good)

Good quality
Good quality wranglers. Nice bleachwash colour, but slightly big on legs. Good price for wranglers at £35

Amazing !
Hubby is hard to fit and has always loved Wranglers because of the fit and comfort and wear. We used to work with horses and always wore Wranglers. In the past 5 years we have not been able to find Wranglers in the area we live and our only option would have to buy them in an other province or pay over $90 for a pair (plus shipping) Since these are work jeans, that is a lot to pay. The regular/other brands of jeans do not fit as well, stand up to wear and tear, and don't look as good. We were so excited to find this style of Wrangler (not the city slicker/clubbing kind). This is the kind he has worn since his early teens (1970's). He was so thrilled with finally getting 3 pairs for his early birthday gift. I will be ordering more next month. They arrived earlier than expected (another bonus) and fit like they were custom made.

These are way tighter than current day Levis, but worth twice as much in value per dollar.
So I used to be a Levis buyer until their cotton became paper thin trash. Went to search for a new pair of nice jeans and found this cowboy cut. Wrangler's denim is super, super thick and just feels like pure quality. All this at half the price of Levi's junk.4 things to keep in mind:1) These fit way tighter than Levi's spandex, and are meant to be worn super high at the waist.I wear W28 for Levi's 505 (the stretchy ones with spandex) and even the then the Levi's is 1-2 inches bigger than my waist. So I would be a 27 in Levis. For wranglers I got a W29 and it fit super snugly. A bit tight at first but it will soften with prolonged wear.2) The black color jeans are raw denim (If I'm not wrong) so do wash them inside out for at least 3 times to make sure the black dye does not run. Take a look at my picture, I accidentally washed them on the outside and the dye got removed a little.3) The pant leg is extremely straight, and much much wider than Levis "Straight-leg". They are meant to be worn with western boots which usually have wide shafts hence the wide leg opening.4) I'm usually a L30 outseam but for my 2 other pairs of 13MWZ I had to buy L32 because they seem to ride a little short on the length. Because you have to wear the waist so high, they might have forgotten to compensate for the bottom pant length.Overall great jeans hence I ordered 2 more!

Now these are a good pair of jeans
Love these pants, I'm 34-30 and these fit very well and hate to wear anything else, good construction and thick, you can't go wrong, getting another pair, worth the money, don't go for a cheap pair, these will last a long time..
