I am not a doctor by any means but I sure am happy with my progress of mass generation of tissue. This product is promoted heavily by the wound clinic I am going to and I really do seem to be making good progress at a better rate than I or they expected. The flavor is not bad but I do recommend mixing it with a little on the high end of water. I use 10-12 ounces and it tastes ok to me. I have tried the fruit punch and the lemon with the lemon being a better choice in my opinion. This stuff is a little pricey but I see it as a lesser amount of healing time and so I drink it twice a day as instructed by the clinic.

I first found out about this product when I was hospitalized for a surgery. The dietician reviewed my case and recommended Juven, which is made by Ensure. It contains some proteins that are an aid to healing. I have used it several times and have always been pleased with it. It comes in with plain, or flavored. I find it a little bitter, so I add Stevia or sugar (as you would in coffee).

I'm a long-term care nurse and have noticed multiple medical doctors ordering Juven for elderly people with wounds of varying degrees.
