Vibrant Aquarium Cleaner for Marine (16 oz)

UPDATE: My newest vial of this came with a different cap (pictures added). You definitely want to keep the old cap, as it lets you "squeeze" the stuff out, rather than forcing you to measure each time. Again, this is NOT a product that requires you to accurately measure, so glugs is the perfect way to add it to your tank! I use one "glug" per 10 gallons, so 7 glugs is very quick for me to do each week.I originally used this product to help maintain algae in a small nano tank of about 10 gallons, and it worked very well for that use. To those who are new to the reef aquarium world, smaller tanks are actually harder to maintain a consistent water value than in larger ones. This is because a small overfeeding or other issue impacts 10 gallons a lot more than it would 100 gallons.I have since upgraded to a 90 gallon tank, and although I do water changes in regular intervals--I've got a life to live. The truth is, I do about a 20% change every month and clean out the filters around that same interval. That's a lot less than most reef tanks "require," and this product really helps me keep it sterling in the interim.It's very easy to use-- you can measure, or you can "guestimate" because it is almost impossible to overuse (you're just wasting excess of this fairly expensive product). I measured it correctly the first time, and then eyeball it every week to around the same amount. Honestly, it comes out to one small "squirt" to each 10 gallons for my tank. 9 squirts each week takes me less than 10 seconds to do, and the tank noticeably clears up in the next 24 hours after application.This is NOT a product that actually cures what is causing the algae. This is a product that helps maintain tank looks for those who aren't able to put quite the proper level of work into an aquarium. After all, maybe you had LOTS of time when you first started your hobby, but less time now. I consider this product a must-have for all novice aquarists, though unnecessary for those who do in fact go through weekly water changes.

I had been struggling dealing with a complete takeover of bubble algae in my tank and nothing was working. Every water change, I'd have to brush off bubbles, net them out, water change and suck out the rest, and then a week or two later, I'd be back at the same place.I saw online Vibrant worked for bubble algae and tried it with no success because I was dosing per the instructions on the bottle. You actually need to dose MORE than what the bottle says to have it work on bubble algae. I did my usual process, and then started to overdose on Vibrant and it has truly been AMAZING seeing how those pest bubble algae have basically completely disappeared. I'm literally shocked and completely mind blown. This stuff is a MIRACLE and worth every penny if you're dealing with this like I have been for YEARS. I had even tried things like Foxface, Emerald Crabs, you name it. The ONLY thing to work so far to get rid of this pest is this stuff. AMAZING. I really can't say enough and how happy I am with the results. My tanks is very clear and clean as well, so the stuff is amazing overall. I will keep using it to dose in the tank until the bottle is empty.Unfortunately, I have no before and after pictures. I had honestly just accepted bubble algae as a part of my tank until I found this stuff and saw the advice to overdose for bubble algae.I hope this helps!!!!!

I love this product and so I ordered the larger size since the photo shows that it comes with a pump. Be warned....it does NOT! The seller needs to place a TRUE photo of what you will in fact receive. So I took one star off the rating.

I normally don't write reviews but this product actually worked. It removed all of my bubble algae within a 4-month period and did not kill any fish, inverts, coral. Yes I know it's an algaecide, but I was losing the battle against the algae. Tank has been fine one year after discontinuing the use.

So, I had bubble algae that was at plague proportions. A fair amount of other types of green algae as well. As I have been fighting the bubble algae for years with ups and downs, I figured I had nothing to lose. I started dosing Vibrant once a week, at double the recommended dose. I immediately saw a change in the amount of diatoms on the glass, and I did not have to clean the glass anymore. The green algae on the rocks faded away over the course of a few short weeks. Now to the bubble algae: It took several months of weekly double doses to kill off the bubbles and it didn't do it by itself. I noticed that they would get a white film rather than be shiny, happy and all proud of themselves. So, I went to Harbor Freight and bought a 36" drill bit set. I grabbed the thin one and went to work. I also put filters on my powerheads to catch them. Long story short, I am now bubble algae free. I have a few LPS and anenomes, but I am mostly SPS. I have a huge skimmer as well. About 200 gallons total water volume. No negative effects on anything other than algae. I read other review where they claim it killed everything. Maybe, but probably because of the killing of algae that occurs and not having a system in place to take care of the resulting pollution of the tank. I took the chance and couldn't be happier.

this product IS a toxic algecide. it will kill many inverts, starfish, almost instantly and will harm corals. do yourself a favour and opt for the hard work this will cost you. the manufacturer knows this and does not advertise it, in fact id go so far as to say they are flat out dishonest. do not purchase

Tried to kill my GHA but bit failed

First time trying this product and not having a good experience at the moment... received a leaking bottle and algae is still booming. I will give it some time and will update the review if need to.

Vibrant Marine is a fantastic product I’ve used it in the past.The bottle arrived leaking! I couldn’t believe the bottle was shipped in a plastic satchel with no protection.
