Wool Felting Pad 6 x 6 x 1.5 Inch (Teal), Durable Needle Felting Mat, Needle Felting Foam Pads Alternative

I actually really like this needle-felting wool mat. It is similar to one of the mats I have used in the past for protecting projects when I am doing hand sewing. It seems suitable for beginners, and I thought it was very easy to use. I felt comfortable using my electric needling felting machine with it since it seemed the appropriate thickness and high quality. It was durable enough, too, that you couldn't even tell I had been using it for an hour, which is a major plus. I thought it was a bit on the pricey side, but I am willing to pay more for something that lasts, so it was a decent value for the money.

I was using a camp mat as my backing for needle felting and I kept having to throw it out so often. This is a great investment if you are going to be doing a lot of needle felting. I make bycocket hats for a medieval re-creation group called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). I have been using this for months and it works great.

Great felting pad. Big enough for large felting. Soft and flat. Good quality

Adorable and perfect for my needle felting crafts. Perfect size and thickness. Color is beautiful.

This thing is Not bad for felting, and it's nice to not get little flakes of plastic foam in your felting piece, but when it says that you won't get your felting piece stuck on it, that's not really true. You have to keep moving your piece around a lot to make sure you don't accidentally felt it to this. That's kind of annoying if you are trying to work on a specific area for a while but other than that it works fine

As someone who has been needle felting for a number of years, I was in need of replacing my worn out foam pad for my needle felting projects. I love this needle felting wool pad-perfect portable size for needle felting on the go! Pros: 1. Small but not too small-works for most needle felting projects 2. Portable-no worries of it breaking when stuffing it in a purse or schoolbag 3. Hardy-will stand up to tens of thousands of needle pokes 4. Needles won't catch/rip up the wool mat 5. Needle felting projects catch quickly, allowing for faster needle felting 6. Minimal shedding of fibers on the mat Cons: 1. Small amounts of wool do get caught in the mat as they are both fibrous materials-this is easily remedied by turning your project often and using smaller needle pokes-project fibers can be removed with a short tooth comb or with fingers. 2. Has a tendency to warp slightly when doing a lot of projects-easily remedied by working the mat back and forth occasionally to restore shape.

I originally bought the bigger size but this size suited my needs much better! I love the color and it's as depicted! I'm a beginner at needle felting and even I can tell this is a quality product!

It's excellent! I purchased the smaller wool buddy for my daughter. I had already purchased the larger one in purple for myself.

It is a great size for felting. Lovely colour and easy to use.

Works like a charm and is better than foam or rice needle felting pads. Easier on your needles.

This is so much better than a sponge, especially when felting flat shapes. The needle doesn’t disappear into it so the felt stays together really well. I really like this!

Great addition to Needlefelting tool kit. Small enough to be portable, ample surface area for small to medium projects. Durable
