Life saver in cold weather
This is a super light stove that was easy to pack in and out of a mountain hunt staying in a tent. It kept us plenty warm on nights a little below freezing, on the nights that were below 0 you would have had to stay up all night to keep feeding it wood, which we didn’t do but with a good sleeping bag you’ll survive. It’s a small stove so it eats through the small wood pretty fast but puts out nice heat and dampers etc work well.

Best price & Good stove
First of all I did my homework on this stove and found that the price is the lowest on Amazon. There are stoves like this that all come from the same manufacture in China, the companies here just add their logo to them. I had thought about ordering from the manufacture over there but did not want to wait a month or more for shipping and really the price was only about $30 less so I decided to order from here. The stove is really light and comes with a good carry bag with all things packed into it. Setting up the stove was easy and you do need to have someone help you the first time you roll the chimney, it is long, almost 8' I think and you do need to tie it down because it is light and a small wind can topple it, but they have rings to attach a paracord to it. When rolled up there are gaps in the pipe and you probably could seal them with that silver fire tape but then you would have to take it apart and really, the smoke does not come out of those gaps. The legs are good but like I said unless you tie the chimney down it could topple the stove. Me, I'm going to try placing it on some flat rocks and tie it down, I think that would work better. Wear gloves when rolling and unrolling the chimney because that metal is as sharp as a razor and will cut you.Starting a fire was easy and I have to say it burns better than another stove I have and it does get a nice patina when hot. The holes on the front work just as they would in a large stove, close them a little and it seems to make the wood burn slower and it does put out some heat but have not tried it yet in my Tipi yet. It does cool down fast and I have not tried to see how long I could go before putting more wood in but if I can get 2 or 2.5 hrs. out of a burn I'm happy I'll only have to get up maybe 3x during the night to fill it. You can cook on the top for coffee and maybe a small fry pan but I bought it to heat the tent during the winter and maybe make some coffee, tea, soup or something on the top and to use while ice fishing. I'm going to look somewhere, maybe home depot or like store to see it I can get and make my own chimney down to a 5 or 6 ft. size. All in all, I like it and besides why would you pay for a similar stove at a higher price? I gave it 4 stars because if it would clean itself, then 5....My extras that I will use are gloves, a scraper for ashes and maybe that silver stove tape if I decide to keep it and not tear it down....but when you do it saves a lot of space.***Update*** 12/3/2020 I put actual "logs" in the burner rather than pieces of branches or thick branches and once it started fully to burn, got hot and turning the vents down about in half got 3 to 3.5 hrs. of burning and heat. Still have to try it in a tent but don't see any issues there, waiting for a cold snowy weekend. Who knows, if I can get 4 hours on the burn I'll go for 5 stars...

Fits "gas station" logs. Durrable.
I'm kind of just sitting here waiting for the thing to break down for some reason. But it won't. I've used it for between 20-30 nights in total and have had zero issues. I'm also one to run my stove for as much of the night as possible (it gets below -30c where I live). So far the hinges have held up fine, the glass has been fine going from negative temperatures to having fire in it (I'd recommend the 2 glass panels, it conducts far more heat into the tent plus looks awesome). I have a small cast iron pan with some weight to it that I put on the seam to keep it from buckling, which it hasn't. I then put a stove fan in the pan to push the heat where I want and it works fantastically. The airflow and dampers work amazingly. Toss a little fire starter in there with some wood and close the door. With the dampers wide open it sucks air in and gets the fire going very quickly. Be sure to keep an eye on the spark arrester and clean it if you're planning on damping the stove down to prolong the burn time. It'll burn dirty and clog up the provided arrester. Also keep in mind that the stove pipe is very tall and the HOT arrester will be hard to reach. If I keep it burning hot at half damper I can get 2 nights out of it without cleaning. The longest burn time I've gotten out of it was around 2 hours. Could maybe get more but I havnt pushed it too much. I keep compressed fire logs in my truck and use those in combination with whatever wood I find. Please be careful if you do this, compresses logs don't react well to being poked at and moved once they're lit. They can spark a bit and the crackling of real wood can cause them to do this as well. Use hardwood if you have access to it, it'll crackle less and burn cleaner/longer.It has warped but not much. It's still easy to set up and once you lock the walls in and lid down it's square and solid. So far it's my favorite camping item and definitely the thing I want to replace the least. From the looks of it I probably won't have to.Enjoy, be safe.Ps. Get a friend to help with the stove pipe and take your time, it'll be worth it.
