Kobalt 56653 Speed Release Utility Knife With 10 Blades

Great utility knife. Great button opening. Great clip. Perfect warehouse tool

This knife has been my daily companion for the past few years, well aside from me losing it a few times and having to by a new one ;)It's the perfect size, has a belt clip but what I LOVE most about it is the release / look button.It makes it so easy to open and close it safely with just one hand which is so pertinent working on our hobby farm. There is nothing worse then having to fumble around with a knife when you have to cut open hay bales or cut a horse out of a hay net feeder. Yes that happens and this knife was a literal life saver in more then one occasion.Bottom line, this is one of the best knifes around and a perfect companion.

Love razor knives. I use this as my everyday pocket knife. I have had several different pocket knives over my lifetime and a friend gave me a razor blade knife years ago and I was hooked since. I ended up loosing that one unfortunately but grabbed this one to replace it. I like that it’s basically a knife with a blade you can change instead of having to have it sharpened or learn how to sharpen yourself. I like a really sharp blade so it’s convenient that I can just flip the blade or change it when it gets dull. I use for everything from farm chores to construction, drywall, flooring, you name it. This knife is nice and sturdy and not flimsy at all like some of the cheaper razor knife options. Plus it folds us like a pocket knife so it’s convenient to carry. I don’t have to constantly search for a razor knife/box cutter. Has a good weight to it so you don’t feel like it’s gunna slip or break but not to heavy that it makes your pants or shirt pocket sag down. I actually gave these as gifts to several of my friends who farm, ranch, and work in the trades. They all seem to love them.

I've used the Kobalt #56653 as my daily carry utility knife for the last 5 months and it was my favorite knife out of all the ones I have ever used. The build quality was really good, it opened extremely cleanly, and the clip was just the right tension. Unfortunately, I recently lost this knife so without thinking, I immediately ordered a replacement. Once I opened the packaging I noticed that instead of the original model that I had paid for, they sent me a cheaper "refreshed" version. Overall the build quality is much worse, the handle does not feel as strong, the clip was replaced with a steel wire that feels bulky, and worst of all the open and close action is nowhere near as smooth. The knife feels awkward to hold, the embossed logo was replaced with a cheap screen print, and the blade release switch was replaced with an awkward to press button. I looked up the listing on Lowe's website for this new knife and its half the price of the original model that I paid for. I will never be buying another Kobalt product again, and I recommend nobody else does either.

My brother-in-law got me this as a gift a couple years ago and I have used it non-stop since then. Unfortunately, I lost it one day and had to find a new one. With no Lowes near me, I was happy to find this online at Amazon. It's sturdy, easy to open and close with a side pushbutton, and easy to change the blade. Slim profile allows it to fit into one of the outer sleeves of my tool pouch perfect. I am whole again.

Works great and blade flipps out smoothly. Light weight .Over time the screws come out but over all I prefer this over others

Hands down best razor knife ever made but dont tell everyone please. Quick and easy always. Will have to glue handle after removing belt clip only downside and you have to keep blade oiled after time razor release will rust up on ya. 10 out of 10

I use this every single day, works well on cutting through cardboard!
