TL;DR Doesn't work miracles or make up for terrible shaving technique/crappy razors, but it is the top product I've found for treating/preventing ingrown hairs. This is the best salicylic acid ingrown hair treatment I've found. I've always struggled with ingrown hairs on my neck after shaving. While I think the biggest improvements have come from switching to a double edge razor for more control and switching to shaving every other day, this stuff does a great job preventing ingrown hairs. From my research it seems like the salicylic acid is the key ingredient here, but other SA based lotions I've found have a tendency to cause painful burning, have a strong nasty smell, and dry out skin. This does burn a little when applied right after shaving but it's pretty mild. It has no smell, and while I use an SPF face moisturizer after applying, it doesn't feel like it dries my skin out anyways. Plus it simply works better at preventing ingrown hairs than anything else I've found. Personally I apply it after shaving obviously, but also at night as it seems to work best for me when applied regularly in between shaving. It is fairly pricy I suppose, but a bottle last me for months and one pump is more than enough to cover the shaved areas on my face, not just my neck.

This is the best PRODUCT i've tried that has reduced my ingrown hair problem(s). I use it like aftershave, not in conjunction with any aftershave, and I have less ingrown hairs now. I also use the shave cream of this same brand. I started using both products at the same time, and the number of blemishes on my face noticeably diminished. Just for reference - I have minimal facial hair still in my mid 30s. I still can't grow a beard because after a month it still looks like... garbage. I'm convinced my mixed Scottish & Cherokee ancestries are having a constant battle on my face. "Grow hair!" "No, don't grow hair!" I've had a frustrating amount of acne since i was 15 (20 years now), and over that time I've tried many products, medications, and procedures to reduce the number of giant red things on my face. The two Anthony products I use are definitely part of my solution. I've tried switching to a different brand, but had to quickly return to this one, despite how much I dislike the price. It's worth it. I say this is the best PRODUCT I've tried, because there is something else I do beyond putting product on my face that seems to help me more. I use an exfoliating facial sponge ( Body Benefits Exfoliating Facial Sponge immediately after I shave, in the shower, and that seems to help the most. But I buy them at bed bath & beyond for less than $1 per sponge, and sometimes even use one of their 20% off coupons.

First of all, I gotta admit, this stuff works!!! I have sensitive skin and a pretty heavy beard. My neck and Adams Apple suffer the consequences of shaving on a regular basis. However, since I've been using this stuff, my razor irritation and ingrown hairs have decreased 95%!!! I honestly didn't think it was going to ever happen. I'm very, very satisfied with the stuff. I shave 3-4 times/week. I use high quality shaving products, not stuff you're going to find at WalMart, and various aftershaves and lotions. The day I shave, I use this stuff immediately after I shave, and again before bed only on my neck (rest of the face doesn't need it). The days that I don't shave, I only use it at night. It's main ingredients are various acids, so I don't want to burn my skin off or create peeling by overuse. So, why only 4 stars? Basically, I'm not fond of the packaging and price. As you can tell, this stuff ain't cheap! Yes, it lasts several months, but that doesn't change the selling price (ouch)! My packaging gripes: there are no usage instructions on the bottle, and there's no way to know how much you have left (how do I know if it's time to re-up???). It's one of those products that have heavy packaging, so I can't really tell if the weight I'm feeling is the bottle or the product. And if I can't feel or see the amount of gel left, how do I know when I need more??? I'm sure the company's response would be to just buy a bunch and stockpile it. Yea, at this price, I don't think so. Otherwise, this is DEFINITELY one of the best male shaving products ever created, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend for anyone who gets irritated results.

I've been using Anthony's ingrown hair treatment for years. As someone who's always had difficulty shaving my neck without major irritation, I started using this product daily and noticed a big difference after a few weeks. I've continued using it for preventative maintenance since. I highly recommend trying it if shaving irritates your shin. And be patient, it may take a few weeks before you notice a difference.

My husband lives by this stuff. He said this is the only product that he really thinks works. We have this on subscribe and save.

This product works...kinda. It does seem to make a difference with the frequency and severity of ingrown hairs, but it doesn't prevent them completely or even reduce them dramatically. To get the best results, you have to use it morning and night daily, whether you shave regularly or not, which quite frankly renders it useless to me. I'm not going to adopt a twice daily beauty regiment with an overpriced product such as this. $30 for this tiny bottle? The ingredients are nothing special, so you are paying for the packaging and branding which are not worth a dime. There are almost certainly cheaper products out there that are as effective as this.

Was in dire need of a haircut and beard trim before going to work Tuesday, but my barbershop is closed Mondays so I went to spot near my worksite. Guy did ok w my hair, but ripped up my neck by running the trimmer over it like a madman. I didn't feel it so much at the time. Went home and put alcohol on it and it burned like that kid in "Post Malone". So I used this to cool down and heal up the razor burn. A few days later and it's still red, but I slather this on in the AM and PM and it feels good. Will keep using it when I shave myself from now on.

I had a small patch of ingrown hair on the outer part of my lower legs (size of a tomato) near my knees. I've been using this for two weeks now and it seems to be working. I had excess skin which made the skin very lumpy and ugly. This seems to have gone now and it's definitely smoother to the touch and sight. I've been using it twice a day evening and mornings. It smells neutral nor does it sting when applied. As it is a blue gel it requires a little bit of a massage to get it to sink into the skin. If you press hard on the container, you get a large amount out but not to worry it's pretty easy to get small quantities to dispense too. So far to date I am pleased with my purchase. It's the first product I've used and I'm happy with it so far. Update - I've still been using the same bottle since I purchased it in April. I use it less frequently now, a few times a week. My legs have improved drastically and I'm really glad I bought this product. I'll be buying another bottle when it runs out as I am concerned the razor bumps may rear their ugly head again.

Seit ich dieses zugegebenermaßen hochpreisige Mittel verwende, habe ich keine Probleme mehr und ich kann es sogar für den Kopf nach der Rasur meiner Glatze verwenden. Wichtig ist, dass im Grunde ein ganzer Pumpstoß für Gesicht und Kopf mehr als ausreicht, und beim Gesicht ein halber! Einfach auftragen (es kann kurz brennen), kurz einwirken lassen und danach die normale Gesichtscreme darüber auftragen, fertig! Klare Empfehlung!

Works wonders. Pricey product, I use it for bikini bumps and they seemed to have cleared up. I like how this product is gel so it dries quick and doesn't leave a greesy residue. I will reorder when I can afford it again.
