A very detailed map thats great for travelling.

Clear roads would have liked clearer railway lines and stations

Good large sheet map of England and Wales on one side and Scotland on the other Easy to view and plan long trips.

Presumably, the description of this map is derived from the `blurb' provided by the OS. I've always set great store by OS products but in this instance the description is misleading. in effect this is a map of major ROAD routes. From this viewpoint it is useful to have a large format hardcopy map in order to plot road routes rather than trying to do so on-screen. However, the rail lines are not accorded equal visual prominence with the road routes. They can be made out, just. if both types of travel were accorded equal prominence it would be possible to judge if you could do your bit for the environment and opt for rail as against road. There are other maps of the rail network that are available but it would have been good to have a single map that encouraged individuals to opt for rail.

Sat nav is great but occasionally you can’t beat hard copy.
