Fiskars 27-Piece Travel Sewing Kit, 39" Measuring Tape, Orange

This little sewing kit is way more useful than I expected. I keep it in my bag when I travel since it’s TSA-compliant, and it’s already saved me a few times with loose buttons and quick fixes. The folding scissors are sharp and sturdy, and the kit comes with plenty of thread colors, pins, a tape measure, buttons, and even a needle threader—basically everything you need for emergencies. What I really like is how compact and organized it is. Even with 27 pieces, it stays neat in the hard plastic case and doesn’t take up any real space. It feels solid too—definitely not a cheap throwaway kit. The lifetime warranty on the scissors is a nice bonus and makes me feel good about the quality. If you need a good sewing set for travel, this is a great one to get! It's compact, contains a good amount of items for it's size, and I cannot overstate how well the folding shears are made! I mean, it's made by Fiskars, of bloody course they could make a great pair of shears! This is great for traveling, you can easily store this in a Dopp kit, or an Overnight or Weekender bag, you could even put this in an emergency or storm kit. If you need a sewing kit for your next airline, ocean-liner, or Route 66 trip, just go and buy this, you won't be disappointed!

Buying a second one of these for a friend and decided to leave a review for the first. I'm at about 20% travel and this lives in my suitcase, alongside my med kit. The scissors are brilliant, frequently used, and worth the price on their own. Nice and compact, but legitimately everything you would need for a clothing fail.

The kit is great, has all the basics... but these little scissors are so dang good. They are a bit tricky to open and close, but they are sharp, solid (not wonky or flimsy) and work really well. I absolutely love these things!

Great to take on a trip quality seems nice

I did not expect this kit to be this good. The scissors are fantastic. They fold up very small and store well in this tiny case. Perfect for a compact travel bag or in a backpack while camping. You never know when you might need to make a repair on a piece of clothes and this little gem has come in handy many times. The needles are nice and sharp and are easy to work with. The multiple colors of thread is very handy and the quality of the thread seems to be ok. It repairs seams fine and holds buttons. The thread is not as nice as some, but if that is important to you, put some of your own in the kit. The scissors. For such a tiny pair, they are sharp and easy to use. I would not cut out a pattern or anything, but I have had no trouble cutting a patch out of a scrap of denim to repair some pants while camping. This is a great kit.

I was in a trip recently and didn’t have an emergency sewing kit with me. When I ordered this little kit, I found that it had everything I needed in one little plastic box.

This is the real deal! Quality you’d expect from Fiskars. I ended up buying a half dozen or so keeping one in glove box of every car & one in my EDC bag. It’s not often you need it but when you do you really do! I thought to write this review because just this evening away from home headed into a wedding reception discovered a seam malfunction in my shirt. Left alone it would have likely worsened as the night wore on. This kit had everything we needed and more to fix the problem in 5 min. THANK YOU Fiskars!! Saved the day!
