Very Sturdy Case
After reading reviews, I was worried about how much girth this case would add but it was not that bad. I like how the buttons (power, menu, camera, volume) protrude to make it easier to find & press. The cutouts are large enough for plugs to fit thru. The fishnet design on the sides gives traction so the N8 does not slip out of your hands. The only major complaint that I have thus far is the cutout for the camera. On the plus side, the thickness of the case evens out the protruding part of the camera so the phone is now flat on the back. The bad thing is that it seems to provide no protection for the camera surface so it can be scratched. This comes w/ a screen cover but I have not yet used it as original screen protector that came w/ the phone has yet to peel off.Overall, this case is very sturdy & provides strong protection for the N8. However, I prefer the other case that I ordered (the Nokia OEM) as it has silicone that goes over the camera & protects it from scratches.

Very Nice Phone/Camera
Well first off I want to say I'm not a cell phone geek. I don't spent hours on the phone, I don't text much, etc. I bought this phone for my wife for xmas, so we have had it for about a month. We don't have a data plan (ATT is too much $$), so we needed one that had wifi. I also wanted something that had a decent camera. The camera is excellent. Nice photos, easy to use, with flash, as good as any normal point and shoot. The screen is large and bright. Photos and videos show nicely. Cool panorama feature. Call quality is good. The internet is ok, not going to brag about the speed and/or browser, but it does the job. I was used to Nokia software, apps, etc so not being android wasn't a big deal. One nice thing about Nokia is Ovi-maps. Download them and doesn't matter if you're online or not, you got your maps (Phone has GPS is built in). Battery life is ok, again nothing to brag about. Phone feels solid, well built. I got it on sale for less than three bills so I feel I scored on this one.

Does exactly what it's suppose to.
It seems as if Amazon can't keep enough of these cases in stock since they sell out so quickly. I got this case for 2 reasons, the first to add textured grip to the phone while holding it in hand and second to help cushion from accidently drops. Of both purposes the Otterbox impact case does its job perfectly. While the case does bulk up the phone slightly, it wasn't a big issue for me since it made the feel of gripping the phone more sturdy. The case hugs the phone well enough so as to not allow any sort of play but not too tight that if you need to take the case off you don't have to pry it off. Most of the ports and buttons on the N8 are accessible with the case on with the exception of the sim and memory card slots, which isn't an issue unless you swap these out frequently. At the end of the day I am glad that I got this case sicne it does exactly what I wanted it to do.

Mediocre.
The case wraps the phone in silicone rubber. It does nothing whatsoever to protect the lens or screen. For the screen, it comes with a regular tack-on screen protector which is optically good (crystal clear), but a magnet for oil and dirt and difficult to clean. It's also a fair bit smaller than the phone's screen, so if you align it with the edge of the phone when applying, you'll end up with a pretty big gap on the other side. The material itself feels nice to the touch, and with the exception of the lanyard attachment and the SIM/SD slots all the phone ports are available, even the charging light has a little window. The volume rocker, menu button and power switch have nubs that allow you to operate them through the rubber; the screen lock slider has a cutout through which you can reach it.The material and design as such are pretty decent, but aside from protection from drops on the phone's narrow edges it offers no benefit to help keeping the camera safe. It's cheap, about the price of a screen protector, and since it comes with one, I don't feel too badly about having spent the money.

Good Quality, Inexpensive Protection
I purchased the Otterbox based on other positive reviews and I'm not disappointed. The Nokia N8 is a decent phone, but seem to be hard to hang onto because the metal case makes the phone slippery like a bar of soap. The Otterbox fits "like a glove" and is rubbery so no more slipping. The rubber is padded to cushion drops and this adds a little bulk to the phone but that's really minor. All of the phone's functions are available through cut-outs or small rubber buttons that activate the phone's buttons. They work well too.The Otterbox is packed with a clear screen protector, but I chose to purchase theΒ ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Nokia N8 - Screen . I've used that brand on another phone and was very impressed at the quality. It's definitely better than the one that came with the Otterbox. Some reviewers have complained that the case stretches out and loosens up. I'm not sure how that can happen, but if it does, I'll update this review.

Excellent case
I prefer this over the 'N8 Gel Case with 6 Screen Protectors and 1 Stylus'.The N8 camera protrudes further than main phone body, this case contours the camera housing so when on a flat surface, the case, not the camera touches the surface. All buttons are still easy to access but slightly harder to depress (expected). The lock/unlock slider is left exposed with actually gives your thumb a comfortable place to rest while holding the phone in call.Charging ports, mic and speaker are unhindered. The screen sits sunken to the case so if left on a surface face down, the screen definitely won't touch. Even though the N8 has Gorilla glass I left the factory screen sticker in place. As of now this combination is fine for me.Feels good when held and only slightly increases the phone footprint. You won't be able to slip the phone in and out of snug pockets since the case is sticky (good).

Goo d Cover
A good phone cover but does increase the overall size quiet a lot. But for protection it's great. I dropped my phone many times and there was not a mark on it.

Gotta Have
This case it AMAZING not much more to say I've had it since a review was put on The Gadget Show and I'm glad I did.,cause it's kept my phone in showroom condition it's taken a pounding since I got it I work in a heavy duty lighting factory and this product has took the bruises that would otherwise have been crashed onto the phone whilst in my pocket . It's robustly formed without being bulky and with the case of the N8 being glossy by design it won't slip from your grasp . I would say that the Otterbox familt of phone cover's are head and shoulder's above the rest . 5 star design and price. All buttons are stil usable and the case has not de-formed like previous cases I've bought, top job.

Effective yet impractical!
This case will protect your N8 very well, it fits well and doesnt interfere with any of the function buttons, so in that regard it does its job. Unfortunately, I have found it to be impractical to use. It is quite bulky and its not at all smooth: with it on, your phone will not slide into your pocket (or slide out of it...): its rubber, which means in practice you have to hold your pocket open and PUT the phone in: you wouldnt believe how difficult this makes life! 100% friction. It'll stay where you put it, but in practice thats not a good thing. I've stopped using mine. Perhaps if you take your phone potholing its ok, but if you wear your phone in a suit pocket (or the pocket of your jeans): NO.

Brilliant !
This case fits the Nokia N8 perfectly and leaves full access to all functions apart from the sim and memory card, but access to these is easy enough to achieve. I would recommend this case to anyone with a Nokia N8 and would be sure that they would not be disappointed.
