Star Trek Starships Special #8 Spocks Jellyfish Ship with Magazine

Amazing model of the Jellyfish! My teenage grandson was very pleased. As a grandmother, it is an attractive decorating accessory.

Eaglemoss was known for making decent quality, partially die-cast replicas. This piece is a larger size than the standard releases but smaller than XL. It has an overall hollow plastic feel. The seam lines aren't great on mine, and as others have mentioned, the spin drive doesn't move. It wasn't even molded in separate sections and even looks "fused" together in a happy meal toy kind of way. It just feels a tad on the cheap side.One of the areas that is nice is the main drive/thruster, which you can't see unless you're looking for it.Oh yeah, no mag even though it's in the description. Not sure why people are giving this 4.5 star average outside of the (current) $20 price. Don't pay a penny more.

A quick and easy gift for a star trek fan.

For $20.00 it’s worth it. All plastic, zero moving parts but I expect it to be smaller then what it actually is it huge

I was a little disappointed that the model did not come with the magazine. However, the model itself looks great and now resides with my Eaglemoss ST Reboot section The price was perfect. I kind of wish that the center part rotated as it does on its onscreen counterpart. :)

Quite a departure from many of the starships shown in the Star Trek mythos, and one of the better designs we see in the Abrams movie. But lets face it- its distinguishing feature is the rotating spiral drive, and while this model/replica does look fantastic, its just a solid, static piece. There's no articulation. And that missing feature unfortunately means I cant recommend it; pretty sure somewhere down the line, this will be re-issued with the rotating feature. It is, however and otherwise beautifully done piece of work.
