PANDA LICORICE CHEW RSPBRRY

I love raspberrries and I love licorice so I had always wanted to try this brand. Probelm is that its always listed at what seems to be a premium price. However, I was extatic that it recently went on sale, and I managed to grab the last 2 bags that day. It arrived today and I just got to try them out. I really like the freshness and texture of this licorice, but the actual flavor has left me puzzled. They taste like Raisin Licorice with just a hint and aftertaste of raspberries. The first ingredient is Molasses, so I think that's the culprit. I have loved other brands flavor of dried raspberries, like Fruit Leather's raspberry strips. I love those. Strong taste of raspberries. I really wish these had that same flavor....

I got these because the ingredients were so much better than any other Ive looked at regarding red licorice. I have been on a mission to find the perfect replacement for the junk food version of red licorice (we all know what Im talking about) because its one of my all time favorite candies.Ive tried so many brands. This one seemed like a winner with the ingredients, but Im not a big gan of the consistency. Its more of a softer chewyness. Sticks in my teeth. I could overlook that if the flavor wasn't so earthy. The molasses really stands out. If you like the flavor of molasses then you would enjoy these. It's important to note that Ive never enjoyed the flavor of licorice. Only the red candies with no actual licorice in them. This Panda raspberry licorice has actual licorice in it. That could be another reason Im not enjoying the flavor so much. I bought two bags with high hopes but will end up giving away the second bag, probably to someone who likes licorice flavor. Im happy these exist though for the people who can enjoy them because we all need better options. My mission continues.

Licorice is my weak spot in the candy game. I really hate how no matter who makes them, they're always very high in calories. I thought buying a natural bag of licorice would help me feel less guilty, and they also wouldn't taste as good as Red Vines which I consume by the pound.I was completely wrong... these raspberry licorice pieces were FANTASTIC. I mistakenly kept the bag by my computer desk, and kept opening it every 5-10 minutes for another serving. Before I knew it, I ate the whole bag.These are very addicting, and made with REAL ingredients. I was overwhelmed with the natural sweet tastes Panda pulled off with these bites.The texture is very genuine, I must say. If you hate the fake texture of Twizzlers, and feel like you're eating plastic... these licorice pieces taste like they're fresh out of the candy oven (I have no idea how you make these things).Treat yourself to a bag! It might cost more than a box of red vines, but it's an amazing flavor you won't forget.

Have no idea who or what the culprit was - but we received a bag of shredded licorice. Its so extensive that I'm leaning towards manufacturing issue, like when a batch gets near the end and they didn't catch all the bags when the little bits and pieces get dumped into the packaging. But it could be also due to storage, or handling when packing. Don't think it is related to issues with shipping, since it came with items more fragile and none of those were broken or altered in any way. Still eats as it should - just messier and more of a hassle to get it to the mouth lol

This is fresh and chewy. There is a good taste, but not a lot of raspberry flavor. I like these, and have repeatedly ordered them. There is good quality always. The individual packaged ones are always in my purse for when I need a pick me up.
