Tone is great. It has a bright color to the sound that my other harmonicas don't seem to have. Very pretty instrument. All reeds work excellent, most flawless harmonica in my budget collection right now. My Fender has subtle flats, my Seydel has mucky notes, my Swan takes a lot of air, but this is a joy all the way up and down the register.2-year Addendum : Still has standout sound. Reedy and beautiful. This is my still my most expressive harp. Gold paint on the top has nearly completely worn off. That slick two-tone doesn't age well at all; what's left is kind of a sickly greenish-yellow and it does not flatter, one bit. That over the thick white paint makes it look like an old toy. Scuffed metal looks 10x better. Prettiest in tone, ugliest in looks after a while. Solid recommend for the sound and ease of playing.

I am not a professional but have enough experience to know that it is a good grade of instrument.

I was skeptical of this harp, because it wasn’t a brand I’d heard of, but the tone is right on & it played easily & appears to be sturdy. A good value & a decent musical instrument.

The sound is very good the price is great

I have used (and lost) Hohner and other high end harmonicas and, well, this harmonica is as good as any and better than most. Everything seemed well tuned. I have a long mustache and beard. Cheap harmonicas grab my beard. This harmonica is well built, well fitted, and there is no room for hair. I like the plastic comb. I have used wood comb harmonicas. They are fine until the comb swells from being soaked in saliva. This comb will not suffer that problem. The clear comb looks elegant, and the harmonica feels solid and heavy. I don't bend much, so I can't talk about that.I would recommend this harmonica to anyone, but for beginners, well, you might get this harmonica and never be happy with any other.

Here's the deal fellow harmonica player's, this harp really has what you want and what you'd expect from a much higher priced instrument. I've been playing on and off for over 30 years and played the cheapest to the most expensive. This harmonica is right there just a tad benieth the $158 priced instruments. The difference is the amount of air for draws, bends and overblows. Would I use this instrument for your typical 4 night sets? My answer is two fold, 1 unfortunately for me I have COPD so for sure I'd consider two sets and that's saying a lot. 2nd if my condition was that of a normal guy my age then yeah I'd give it a go. My advice is by your favorite key and play it.

Great blues harmonica for its price. Sound is very bright and reeds delicate, but very strong, so playing more quietly will give nice bends, good tone and no stress. Thank you!

I have every harmonica in every key...I thought I'd splurge and get the Eb in the white hard case, rather than the soft zippered cases I have every other one in. I can hardly get the harmonica out! It's a tough lil latch and am disappointed that now I have to purchase a zip case for it. It's a great harmonica...but pass on the case.

Llevo muchísimos años tocando armónica y he probado muchas, está la compré para probar y no vale la pena... Se toca mal y suena mal, por éste precio hay opciones mucho más buenas y de renombre de toda la vida.

Very easy to use ,stylish and great sound

Ich besitze Harps von dem Traditionsunternehmen in Klingenthal in Deutschland, unterschiedlichster Modelle, als auch von dem mit dem roten Männlein, (von dem mir ein "Renommierprodukt" reichte um abzuwinken) , welches schon lange in chinesischer Hand ist.Mir fehlt es also nicht an Vergleichen.Sieht man nur unreflektiert auf den Preis mag man die Nase rümpfen, was meiner Meinung nach ein Fehler ist.Die erste Harp in E kam mit nur einem kleinen Schönheitsfehler, der Löseabstand der Blaszunge der 2. Blaskanzelle war so eng, dass kein Ton kam.Kein Problem, dass nicht mit einem Zahnstocher, Schraubenzieher und etwas Geduld behoben werden könnte. Kurze Suche bei utube und man findet es heraus, falls man es nicht schon weiß.Löseabstände, oder "gapping" sind so individuell, dass sie ohnehin nie alle zufrieden stellen können.Ansonsten kam außer dieser Harp von East Top alles einwandfrei für mich aus der Box!! Ich habe direkt 2 weitere in anderen Tonarten und Farben bestellt und wieder war alles top!!Kein Gefummmel, Bendings und Stimmung Geschmeidig und problemlos.Es sind, wie auf der Explosionszeichnung insgesamt 9 (neun) Stimmplattenschrauben verbaut. Das Traditionsunternehmen aus Klingenthal kommt hier gerade mal auf 5.Hier dürften die erwähnten "Undichtigkeiten" wohl anders wo liegen.Overblows sind dafür bekannt oft eine "customized" Harp zu benötigen.Letztendlich liegt es auch noch der Kenntnis und dem Fähigkeitsstand des Musikers um einen akzeptablen "Overblow" zu bewerkstelligen, egal auf welcher Harp.Ich habe auch schon oft meine Badehose beschuldigt, wenn ich nicht schwimmen konnte. ;)Die Harp klingt in der Tat "crisp" und angenehm kraftvoll wie es ein anderer Käufer beschrieb ohne unangenehm zu sein, was bei dem roten Männlein Produkt von mir so empfunden wurde.Negativ ist in der Tat, dass die aufgedruckten Appklitationen wirklich sehr schnell weg sind.Wer Harp lange genug spielt braucht aber auch keine Nummerierung der Kanzellen mehr, oder?Also, gleich abwischen und vergessen, dann die Ohren benutzen, die Tonart ist eingepresst in den Kanzellenkörper.Auch wenn es sehr gute Harps in dieser Preiskategorie sind, es sind "Wegwerfharps" .Sobald sie verstimmt sind kann man sie vielleicht 1-2 mal nachstimmen, dann landen sie im Müll. Für intensive Spieler also vielleicht eher ein Verlust. Keine Ersatzteile, Reedplates, Schalldeckel, Schrauben.Ich werde diese Harps sehr gerne zum täglichen üben nutzen, um meine Vorzugsharps aus Klingenthal NOCH länger spielen zu können.Für diese gibt es endlos Ersatzteile und die Reeds sind aus Edelstahl, was eine deutlich länger Haltbarkeit der Stimmung beinhaltet und somit erst einmal "nachhaltiger" ist.Reeds aus Bronze sind erst einmal einfacher zu benden, was dem Anfänger entgegenkommt , aber das beste Material für eine Feder(was eine Reed ist) ist eben Stahl.Bronze ermüdet einfach viel schneller.Fazit: Harp klingt für meine Ohren super an den aufgedruckten Appklikationen muss hinsichtlich Haltbarkeit gearbeitet werden kommt super "out of the box" inklusive "gapping" bzw Löseabstand. ansonsten saubere Verarbeitung top Preis Leistungs Verhältnis Soft case inklusive, was es noch nicht mal bei einer deutlich! teureren Harp aus Klingenthal dazu gibt!Also, getrost kaufen, Ohren aufsperren beim musizieren und viel, viel Spaß beim Blues spielen oder was auch sonst.
