How is this "eco friendly material"? plastic foam is not eco-friendly.

The company claims the mat is made of thermoplastic elastomer foam. TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is a synthetic rubber that has a high potential for recyclability and requires less energy to manufacture than other materials with similar properties. I would guess this is why it claims to be eco friendly material.

Is this mat easy to clean? I can't really clean my mine because of the kind of foam it's made of. Dirt gets into the foam and I can get it all out.

I clean yoga mats in the shower. I soap up the surface and rinse with flexible shower nozzle and then hang to dry. Also when I roll up the mat I fold iit n half first, then roll so the surface touching the floor does not come in contact with the surface you stand on.

Ad states what it’s not made from, but then, what is it made from?

Idk bought it as a gift for my mother in law
