They hold the heat in, secure to the tops of my pots and pans pretty well, and the tabs on the side lets me release the steam so I don't get burned. They're also easy to clean.This set provides a wide variety of sizes, and the largest is wider than most comparable sets, so it accomodates larger pans. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good replacement for old, cracking, plastic lids for my pyrex dishes *by D***3 on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 4, 2019* I like storing dinner leftovers in glass and ceramic dishes for easy reheating. But, the plastic lids that came with the pyrex dishes have over time cracked into pieces and most of my ceramic dishes don't have lids. These work well for covering glass and ceramic bowls of different sizes. I keep the middle one in the microwave to prevent splatters, use the others to cover bowls in the fridge.
