Q: On the box it says "do not use with appliances requiring earth connection" - really ? what use is it if it won't provide an earth. it is ce marked.

I did not see that message on the box I was too busy opening it. I use it upstairs for a tv, video and light. Perhaps the message means don't use with something that needs its own circuit like an electric cooker. My advice just use as would any extension lead which in a way is what it is.

Hello I am not 100 % sure but I would say it would be ok as when they say don't use an extension lead they are concerned about the cable that is used between the plug and the extension sockets as this can and will act as an ariel and could reduce the effectiveness of your WIFI. Regards Tony
