Oboz Men's Sawtooth X Mid B-Dry Hiking Boot

The media could not be loaded.  Went on a multi-day hiking trip to NB Canada and managed to get 3 inches of rain while up there. Wore these boots more as a test, knew they were comfortable from previous hikes and I was really surprised by the waterproofing quality of these boots. As long as the water stayed below the ankle, I was dry as could be. You can see in my attached video how wet they did infact get, but my feet stayed dry.Highly recommend these for wet weather hikes!

This is my 5th pair of Oboz boots, and for the first time, I am very disappointed. The build quality, lacing system and overall comfort is inferior to the Sawtooth II Mid Hiking Boot and Oboz versions that I’ve owned previously. Combined with premature separating soles (bad glue properties) on one of my previous Oboz boots, I am now beginning to question the quality standards of Oboz…as an alpine wilderness backpacker that relies on dependable boots, it may be time to try Salewa or another comfortable but rugged boot brand. Disappointing for what you pay for these.

A solid boot for hiking . Would recommend .

Ok I have owned many pairs of Oboz shoes over the years. I actually switched from another high quality manufacturer about four years ago after water issues. Well I have been up in Austria and Switzerland hiking with the Oboz I purchased in July . Loads of break in miles before this trip.Well I am highly disappointed as the inside soles have pretty much broke down. So these boots will end up in the trash next week when I get back in the US.Will start a search for a new hiking boot.Wish I could return but it is passed the date of no return.Advise other buyers beware I think the quality of these has gone downhill

I’ve been searching for a pair of summer-weight (breathable, not waterproof) hiking boots in my size, and these fit the bill. Very comfortable, good ankle support, and soles offer great grip.

These run about a half size too small. I could squeeze into a size 11 which is my regular size, but not comfortably, that said , these are my favorite and 3rd pair of mid dry Oboz that I have purchased over the last 7 years or so. My last pair of Sawtooth 2s (2 years old) were finally close to done so I bought these as replacement. Buying a second pair to put away for later as these are my daily drivers for work. They see a-lot of water and mud at work.

Oboz makes exceptional footwear. I have both low and high models (all waterproof styles) and they are comfortable and last. They are firm and very well built. The firm insoles and tread actually preserve your feet on long hikes. These boots are as good as those selling for much more. Though expensive, they are worth the investment in great footwear.

Great pair of boots, my first from this brand, but I don’t think I’ll buy any other from now on. They’re comfortable with great grip, which I really need. They run a bit small, so I got them half a size bigger. Takes a bit to break them in, but that’s expected, still no blisters or discomfort.
