**Q: If you connect it to a timer, does it turn on with just the power coming back on?**
A: Don't think this will work because it has a switch that works with the touch of your hand at different levels of light. Hope this helps.

**Q: Will it work if i close my eyes?**
A: No. When you close your eyes it detects it and turns itself off. It will turn itself back on when you open your eyes. Blinking can trip it up.

**Q: How long is the power cord?**
A: Approx 4 feet

**Q: Is there a distance or angle I should set this? I feel like the light hurts my eyes even when it's further away and angled toward me**
A: John,  I have used my lamp for over a year.  It seems to help with mood.  I use it at my desk.  I have it at eye level, about three feet away, and angled toward me.  It has three intensities, I use the middle one.  Jack

The plug isnt suitable for Indian sockets. You would need a travel adapter, if you want to use it in India.
