Wow, just wow.
I took the time to write a lot of reviews, put this watch in my cart, then take it out. Over, over, and over again until I finally pulled the trigger. Everything I watched and read about it were right. This is a champagne watch on a lemonade budget. Just wow. While the packaging initially seems kind of cool, once you actually get into it it's just alright. The pelican style box is neat, and inside the watch is carefully wrapped in EASY TO REMOVE plastic. Dear other watch companies, can we figure this part out please? It's like finding a cure for cancer to get the plastic off of bracelets in your packaging. Thank you San Martin for getting this right. The included tools for strap and link removal are nice, even though I have a billion of them by now. Very sturdy and great quality. Then there's the watch. I've handled a lot of Rolex Subs, I've owned several luxury watches (Omega, Rado, etc), and I gotta say... I don't know how they do this much for so little money. I get that there's a Seiko NH35 movement in there, and frankly I'm good with it. That's a pretty solid workhorse movement, and you're going to get a lot of reliability out of it without having to break the bank. I actually got one with consistent branding all over. The hexagon logo on the dial, crown, and clasp are all in sync, and I'm here for it. It's a good logo, and it sure beats the fire out of the very wordy and annoying to look at Pagani logos. The milling and attention to detail on the watch body and bracelet are phenomenal. This thing is punching way above its weight, and is going to take the place of some of my other watches at more formal events and on the water. Bezel action is smooth, crown screws down tightly, and I actually like the extra gasket to make sure it's water tight. Screw pins in the links make them easy to size. My monster sized wrist required only one link to be appropriately sized, and the clasp is in the dead center of my wrist, which I love. Finally, could any review of this San Martin Water Ghost V3 be complete without mentioning the lume? Holy lume, Batman. This thing competes all day with my MUCH more expensive Seiko Prospex models (Speedtimer for example), and is very, very, impressive. San Martin has definitely cracked the code for making a Rolex sub homage that looks and feels stunning without breaking the bank. This thing competes even with my other homage watches like the Steinhart Ocean One, with a much better look and feel for once again a lower cost. We could argue the betterness of a Sellita movements verses the NH35, but having owned both, I don't care.If you're like me and keep putting this watch in and out of your cart, stop it. Go ahead and buy it.

Top quality
San Martin makes a great watch. I have several, and this is no exception. Well finished, smooth crown operation, bezel action is light without slipping, everything lines up perfectly. Timekeeping is very accurate and the NH35 is a workhorse movement. Lume is solid, and lasts all night with a cool blue color. Overall it is a larger watch, but not obtrusive and can fit a variety of wrist sizes. It has presence and weight as a diver should. The dial is better than any other mother of pearl that I have seen. The gradient is beautiful and fades from blue to black very well. The light play on the dial in natural light is not to be outdone. A solid purchase.

If you stuck the Crown on here, you think you’d actually have a Rolex
Seriously is absent only the crown at the top for people to think you’d have a real Rolex on your wrist with a swatch I have the green model and it is stunning. I have real Omega‘s and tags and Rolex and I’m seriously in a position where I almost want to wear this more That’ll said exceptional quality for price point¡

Too small
Complete pain in the butt. Out of the box I can barely get the watch over my hand. Apparently there have to be missing links. I can’t clasp the watch on an 8 inch wrist. Watches should come big enough to fit a giant wrist then remove some links to make it fit. The watch also had no instructions in the box. Good luck trying to contact shark dive. No contact information on their website at all. Then to return it you have to wait on the UPS man to come by and pick it up, and if there is not an adult at home they will not take it. You can’t just drop it off at the UPS store. Total pain. It seems to be a nice watch it just doesn’t fit a 6’1 225# man.

Questionable quality of links/pins
After watching/reading a few reviews I decided to buy this watch as it was reportedly one of “the best sub homages” available. I struggled with what was supposed to be the simple task of removing links (see link next to clasp) the pin would not screw into the link all the way (yes it was the same one I removed). Makes me wary about quality control issues, as this is a very basic expectation for an item whose strong point was its bracelet. The rest of the watch looks great though, so three stars.

Excellent
The watch is well made and the dimensions are comfortable. The dial is beautiful and well done, it changes in the sunlight and is very noticeable. The lume is very bright and easy to see in dark or low light conditions. The movement runs very smoothly and keeps excellent time.

I wish I could give this piece 5 stars, BUT…
I really want to give this watch a 5 star rating. The finishing is beautiful, the bezel action is very satisfying and overall this is probably as close as you are going to get to a Submariner in this price range. The watch itself is honestly stunning and the piece feels much higher quality than most in the sub-$300 range. The issue that I am currently having with mine is that the crown is binding up making it very difficult to unscrew. Once unscrewed, it winds, sets, etc. wonderfully, but getting it unscrewed is definitely a bit of a challenge. Overall, I highly recommend this piece. It seems that most have not had the same issue that I am experiencing and that perhaps the issue that my watch is having is simply a fluke. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to buy another San Martin in the future and I plan to look at some of their other models when I am in the market for my next timepiece.

A Nice Quality Watch!
This is a super quality watch for its price! A good number aficionados and watch reviewers have rated this exceptionally highly and has been rated by some as being perhaps the best homage piece to the Rolex Submariner Date. It has 316L steel with good heft and a most amazingly reassuring click of the bezel. it's quite affordable and like all automatic watches the daily accuracy is not exceptional but mine is doing incredibly well. It looks really cool on the wrist and some friends have mistaken it for the Submariner so go buy one as you will not be disappointed! 😎

Great watch for it's price point.
Bought this as a gift for my nephew as his first mechanical watch. Very nice watch with obvious attention to detail. Worth every penny.
