Work for two months and motor stopped working piece of junk will not accept returns. Poor quality don’t buy it.

Very easy to convert

I went from the three way head gravity feeder from Boss Buck to the Boss Buck Auto Feeder Conversion Kit. With the three head feeder I was filling the feeder up every two week with 200 lbs feed due to the squirrels and raccoons climbing on and inside the feeder to rake the feed to the ground. Since the auto feeder the feeder stay full for the pass month. The auto feeder works great. Happy customer...

I have 8 boss buck 12v feeder units with BB hopper and one universal for 55 gallon drum. Great for corn or soybeans-throws in 20-30 foot circle. Cover eyes when testing or hide behind tree. The only negative is motors do not last a year or two. The design of BB hopper channels rain water to directly on top of feeder and therefore top of box where I suspect some water is seeping in. Either that or just poor quality motors that fail in high humidity conditions. Also note that the motors vary in their spin speed. Some spin freely and extremely fast while your next motor may only be 50-75%. Yes I verified battery and controller by connecting motor to a different unit spinning at maximum speed. I tolerate the poor motor performance because have so many, feed stays dry and slings larger diameter than most other feeders. Buy an extra motor if you live in south Louisiana. BTW- I tried the cheaper Wildgame 12 volt motor replacement and it works just fine but also fails within same time frame. Also, several other club members have BB’s and experience the exact same poor lasting inconsistent motor performance.

I feeder 2 tons of corn every winter and have switched over to this product. These units are super heavy duty with large 12 volt automotive motors. The timers so far have proved to be reliable in the Canadian winter but hopefully will be reliable for years to come. Have also added the Boss Buck solar panel to my feeders so there is always fully charged batteries. . Takes a bit of patience to get the amount of corn I want to dispense but once set up properly you can virtually forget about the feeder.
