A Sharp portable air conditioner was given to us that worked fine but the remote was lost. We were able to turn it on and off but could not adjust anything. After installing the batteries in the remote I can now adjust the temp, air speed and the louvers. A very small problem is that it reads in centigrade instead of fahrenheit but the range is so small it's pretty easy to figure out.

this will turn on and off the sharp portable ac unit and set the temp but will not get the unit to max cool.

Now I can change the temperature! After losing the remote control, I was using the AC by just truning it on or off. Finally I can make it cooler. Just make sure your AC's model number matches with the ones in the description.

The exact replacement remote I needed for my Sharp portable AC. Even has the Sharp logo, beneath the made in China sticker.
